Job Overview:

Shriners Children?s Portland is seeking a full time Advance Practice Provider (APP) (Physician Assistant (PA-C), Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)). The provider will assist in management of pediatric patients with a wide range of orthopedic conditions in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Schedule will be 4-10 hour shifts with no nights or call expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend general and specialty orthopedic outpatient clinics, coordinating surgeries, diagnostic studies, and following up with patients and families
  • Obtain and document appropriate health histories and perform physical exams and formulate treatment plans
  • Order appropriate treatment and/or diagnostic studies
  • Enter post-op orders, enter perioperative documentation, manage post-op patients on the Inpatient Unit
  • Potential to provide assistance in surgical cases at a first assistant level based on training and experience
