About this Position:

In this role you will be responsible for examining, evaluating and testing individuals with mechanical, physiological and developmental impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities or other health and movement-related conditions in order to determine a diagnosis, prognosis and plan of treatment intervention, and assess the ongoing effects of intervention. The OT is also responsible for alleviating impairments, functional limitations and disabilities by designing, implementing and modifying treatment interventions. The Transport RRT willprovide safe, timely, high-quality care during the transport of all neonatal and pediatric patients, and patients determined by the transport medical directors needing transported by the team.Perform all duties stated in Registered Respiratory Therapist-Critical Care job description listed above. Provide family-centered care to infants from birth to pediatric patients during inter-hospital transports. Initiate emergency protocols independently following ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE guidelines. Practice in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and standards of the hospital; functions within the guidelines of the protocols and order sets for the transport program that are reviewed and agreed upon by medical directors. Communicates effectively with team members. This position functions as an expert resource for direct care throughout the system and supports all staffing levels. Responsibility for the delivery of Respiratory Care to all patients, to include all therapeutic treatments, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gas draws and analysis, ventilator management, airway management, and high risk deliveries and to include intubation with proper certification.
Requirements
Education: Associate degree required. Bachelors required to perform duties of a Technical Consultant.
Experience:Three years critical care in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and/or Neonatal Critical Care Unit, or three years Pediatric Emergency Department experience, 2000 hours in a level 2-3 NICU. Critical care transport experience preferred.
Certification:BLS required. Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as an ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist) or NPS (Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist) as required by specialty. ACLS, PALS, NRP and STABLE required as appropriate to population served and/or specialty. Intubation certification required ; ATLS, C-NPT preferred (will be required within the first year of employment on the team)
License: Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist required.
Other: Completion of the Transport Team Training Program, completion of 20 hours transport course, as well as annual competencies or education provided as assigned. Computer Literacy. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills at patient, family and team levels. Complete iSTAT training.

About our Rehabilitation Team:
Our Rehabilitation Services team is one of the largest and most dynamic in the region. With over 700 skilled professionals dedicated to helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence through comprehensive, compassionate care. Our licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists work closely with medical teams to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients unique needs. Beyond core therapy services, we offer a variety ofspecialty programsincluding neurological rehabilitation, vestibular and balance therapy, lymphedema management, pelvic health therapy, and oncology rehabilitation. With services spanningacute care, skilled nursing, home health, and outpatient settings, our team delivers exceptional, evidence-based care that restores function and enhances quality of life.
We offer Physical Therapy Services at the following locations:
Acute Care:Our acute care rehabilitation teams provide intensive, short-term therapy to help patients recover quickly from illness, injury, or surgery. Physical, occupational, and speech-language pathologists collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, goal-driven care, focusing on early mobilization, functional recovery, and safe transitions to home or the next level of care. Our5 acute care hospitalsinclude Lee Memorial Hospital, Cape Coral Hospital, Gulf Coast Medical Center (Level II Trauma Center), Healthpark Medical Center, and Golisano Childrens Hospital of Southwest Florida (Level III NICU).
Outpatient:At our14 outpatient locations, our physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists provide specialized, evidence-based care for patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery, or managing chronic conditions. We treat a wide range of diagnoses, from orthopedic and neurological conditions to stroke, cardiac and pulmonary challenges, and speech or swallowing impairments. Our services include vestibular rehab, hand therapy, neurological rehabilitation, lymphedema therapy, post-surgical rehab, pelvic therapy, and more. With one-on-one, 45-minute sessionsand a maximum of 10 patients per day, we focus on delivering personalized care that improves mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. Clinics are located across Southwest Florida in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, Estero, and Bonita Springs.
Skilled Nursing:For patients who are medically stable but need extra support before returning home,our2 Skilled Nursing Unitsand Skilled Nursing Facilityprovide comprehensive post-acute care. We offer short-term rehabilitation and transitional care for those recovering from surgery, heart events, strokes, or acute illnesses, as well as long-term care when needed. Our interdisciplinary teams deliver physical, occupational, and speech therapy to help patients regain independence, ensuring safe, supported, and successful transitions.
Pediatrics:At our7 outpatient pediatric locations, we provide specialized therapy for children and young adults recovering from injuries, neurological conditions, developmental delays, or chronic illnesses. Our physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists treat conditions such as cerebral palsy, brain or spinal cord injuries, orthopedic challenges, speech and language disorders, and sensory processing difficulties. Using individualized, evidence-based, family-centered care, we help children improve mobility, communication, daily living skills, and overall independence. Clinics are located across Southwest Florida in Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral, and Immokalee.

About this Position:
As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for examining, evaluating and testing individuals with mechanical, physiological and developmental impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities or other health and movement-related conditions in order to determine a diagnosis, prognosis and plan of treatment intervention, and assess the ongoing effects of intervention. The PT is also responsible for alleviating impairments, functional limitations and disabilities by designing, implementing and modifying treatment interventions. Additional responsibilities include reducing the risk of injury, impairment, functional limitation and disability, as well as, the promotion and maintenance of fitness, health and wellness in populations of all ages. The PT is engaged in administration, consultation, education and research. The PT is expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. The attributes, characteristics or behaviors required for success in this job include: critical thinking, communication, problem solving, interpersonal skills, responsibility, professionalism, use of constructive feedback, effective use of time and resources, stress management, and commitment to learning.
