KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

About the Job
BCEI operates as the primary contractor and lead designer for all construction aspects of the project. We work closely with targeted General, MEP, and Low Voltage contractors to deliver large-scale projects to our clients. The Preconstruction Manager leads the front-end planning, cost development, and technical coordination of large-scale projects in North America. This role is responsible for conceptual budgeting through GMP development, value engineering, risk analysis, and client-facing cost strategy on hyperscale and mission-critical infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate has deep experience estimating MEP-intensive facilities, high-voltage power systems, or mission-critical environments where schedule certainty, redundancy, and scalability are paramount. The Building Engineer reports to the Area Chief Engineer while maintaining a strong working relationship with all Property Managers in the assigned area. They support property managers by addressing a wide range of operational needs, from tenant improvement projects to preventive maintenance and repairs across all building systems. All work must be performed in a way that protects and enhances the value of the property.
This role requires exceptional client service, professionalism in all interactions with tenants and RMR staff, and a commitment to teamwork and collaboration. The Building Engineer must also be able to obtain a GSA badge through the GSA. The current portfolio consists of 138,608 square feet.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and log all HVAC and MEP equipment under the direction of their supervisor.
- Complete tenant service requests, and develop and maintain positive tenant relations through prompt, courteous response to tenant requests.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, plumbing and electrical systems, as directed by their supervisor. Duties include, but are not limited to changing filters, coil cleaning, greasing motors, replacing light bulbs & ballasts, inspecting/adjusting belts, and regular inspections of equipment.
- Maintain computerized or manual equipment logs that detail preventive work performed.
- Clean and paint equipment and surrounding areas relating to equipment and equipment rooms.

As a Sr. Staff Software Engineer, you will:
Drive Hue's architecture and technical strategy to deliver a secure, scalable, and extensible data productivity interface for enterprise analytics.
Lead core feature development across SQL editing, data catalog exploration, visualization, workflow orchestration, and practitioner productivity tooling.
Define and execute the AI roadmap for Hue, incorporating Cloudera SQL AI, natural-language query experiences, contextual copilots, and retrieval-augmented analytics.
Advance intelligent SQL assistance and automation by designing foundational capabilities for query generation, optimization suggestions, and semantic data understanding.
Champion engineering excellence through robust testing, performance optimization, observability, and enterprise-grade reliability.
Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional collaboration with product, UX, data platform, and other teams to influence long-term strategic direction.

Primary Focus:
- To oversee the design for Liquids Pump station facilities for expansion and maintenance capital projects executed by third party engineering firms to ensure compliance with Company standards and specifications and industry standards and managed to the project budget and schedule.
- Liaison with other company functional groups within Project Execution, Operations, and Shared Services to ensure project and company requirements are achieved and incorporated into the design deliverables.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Ensures that all pump station facilities are designed in accordance with all regulations, applicable industry codes, and corporate standards.
- Defines the scope, schedule, and budget for the design and materials for pump station facility projects.
- Manages the execution of the design deliverables by a third-party engineering firm against the project budget and schedule.
- Reviews and approves design deliverables, for example, drawings, technical reports, and material listing sheets.
- Participates in design review meetings with the engineering firm, the Project Manager, Operations, and Construction personnel to discuss the scope, design, and expected performance, as well as work out constructability issues.
- Reviews vendor materials quotations, prepares technical evaluations, and recommends selections based on technical merit, along with price and delivery. For example: pump and motor equipment, vessels, buildings, generators, pipe, valves, and fittings.
- Reviews lessons learned from past projects and incorporates recommendations into future designs.
- Actively identifies and communicates new lessons learned and quality incidents for assigned projects.
- Support department initiatives as required.
