Job Summary:

The attorney will provide litigation advocacy, advisory, consultation, and negotiation services to client facilities primarily within VA Office of General Counsel (OGC) North Atlantic District. The primary focus will be on defensive employment and labor litigation. Additionally, the attorney will represent VA in psychiatric commitment hearings in state courts. The role also involves advising and counseling clients on healthcare matters, compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and VA policies. Duties:

The primary responsibilities include representing and advising the Department of Veterans Affairs on personnel issues and litigation before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA), as well as handling arbitrations under collective bargaining agreements, disciplinary appeals conducted under 38 U.S.C. §§ 7461-7464, and VA grievance procedures. The attorney will also represent VA at psychiatric commitment hearings and provide legal advice to VA officials regarding matters impacting VA operations and mission. The incumbent's guidance will be based on accurate application of Federal laws and regulations, State laws, and VA policies, directives, and handbooks, considering the implications for Veterans, the public, and the overall mission of VA.

Grade level: GS-12, GS-13, or GS-14 upon hire, depending on experience; GS-14 is full promotion potential.

About the Role:

A Chemtek is seeking a detail-oriented Analytical Chemist to support the testing, characterization, and documentation of analytical reference materials. This role will play an important part in maintaining product quality and supporting our quality systems.

The Analytical Chemist will be responsible for performing analytical testing to verify the identity, purity, and quality of reference materials using multiple analytical techniques. The role will also support method development, product documentation, and continuous improvement of laboratory procedures.

This position is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of analytical laboratory experience, particularly in LC-MS and analytical method development, who enjoys working in a collaborative and quality-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytical Testing

· Perform testing on wide range of organic standards using techniques to verify compound identity, purity, and concentrations

· Utilize analytical instrumentation including LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR, and HPLC/UHPLC

· Determine compound purity using HPLC/UHPLC, GC-MS, and quantitative NMR (qNMR)

· Apply analytical techniques for water content determination (Karl Fischer), elemental analysis (CHN), concentration verification, and residual solvent analysis

· Conduct stability and homogeneity testing to support product release and shelf-life determination

Product Documentation

· Develop, revise, and maintain laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with ISO17025 and ISO17034 quality systems

· Maintain accurate records of analytical testing to ensure data integrity and product traceability

Quality System Documentation

· Develop, revise, and maintain laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) following ISO17034/17025 standards

· Prepare and maintain controlled laboratory documentation.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field
• 2-4 years' experience working in an analytical/testing lab environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

What You Will Do:

As an Control Account Manager, you’ll be assigned to one or more LTAMDS programs and will be responsible for providing innovative and trusted solutions that optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Land and Air Defense products and services over their life cycle. As a Deployment Fielding and Sustainment (DFS) CAM, the successful candidate will support the DFS program Leads, LTAMDS Program Control Account Managers, and Program leads in the successful completion of monthly Earned Value Management (EVM) inputs, reporting and analysis, monthly Budget Change Requests (BCRs), facilitate EAC and LRE inputs, and demonstrate the ability to perform meaningful analysis and effective communication to drive predictable results. Scope of work includes partnering with engineering and program leads for EVMS process inputs, EAC/LRE development, monthly variance reporting, and weekly analysis of cost and labor runs. The role focuses on driving cost control and schedule using APEX/SAP EV, IMS, and PMX management reporting tools. The candidate will be required to perform analyses and prepare reports to drive predictable cost and schedule.
