What You Will Do
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated System Safety Engineer II to join us onsite in Tucson, AZ.
- Execute the safety strategy for the program to meet all its milestones with system safety/HSI features integrated into the product in compliance with contract and awarded funding.
- Support the program schedule and integrated system safety tasks and activities into program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Engage the Lead System Safety Engineer and Portfolio Engineering Lead for guidance on technical execution, artifact review, attending customer reviews, etc.

Job Title: QA/QC Manager

Travel Requirement:
Our projects are located across several states, so to be eligible for this position, you must be willing to travel. We operate on a two-week rotation schedule, traveling to site on Monday mornings and returning home on Friday afternoons for weekend at home.
All travel and accommodation costs are fully covered by the company.
Summary:
This role is responsible for the implementation and management our Quality Control Program at client sites; including the coordination, performance, and execution of construction inspections and testing services which lead to the successful delivery of commissioning and turn-over for clients in the Hyperscale Data Center Market. The QA/QC Manager will work with QA/QC professionals across MEP trade disciplines, General Contractor, and Owner QAQC Leadership to create and support a Quality Culture with tact, teamwork, and transformational leadership.

- Witnessing and reviewing site inspections
- Ensure general contractor and MEP contractors comply with contractual and owner quality requirements
- Familiarizes oneself with codes, local project regulations, construction practices, and the latest equipment and functional concepts
- Coordinate quality issues between the design team, construction, and facility operations teams.
- Provide personnel training to ensure awareness of quality procedures and specific responsibilities in the QA/QC process.
- Help drive issue closure in client software and escalate any outstanding open items not getting closed out promptly.
- Attend and actively participate in Construction Meetings
- Produce detailed documentation using various client software such as, but not limited to, BIM360, Compass, and CX Alloy.
- Ensure that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are current.
- Act with tact and professionalism to resolve conflicts.
- Review inspection reports for compliance
- Assist the site stakeholders in the administration and oversight of the quality control program
- Prepare non-conformance reports and assist in developing corrective actions
- Coordinate with the End User QC inspectors for the resolution of site problems
- Coordinate with site subcontractors to deliver quality expectations
- Assist the site subcontractors in the identification resolution of drawing, specification, and Basis of Design discrepancies.
- Review submittals, RFI logs, maintenance logs, and other project-related materials to confirm acceptability to quality and design
- Assist in closeout documentation preparation as needed
- Support the CM team in managing schedule and quality expectations
- Keeps all relative parties informed via standardized communication protocol and tracking documents.

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our growing team in Phoenix, AZ. This position will require site presence to support our Copper World Project in Tucson, AZ.
The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for managing engineering and project design activities across various study phases (concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility, EPCM, and EPC). This position will oversee the integration of multidisciplinary design teams, ensure compliance with project scope and technical standards, and provide leadership to ensure project objectives are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Main functions include (but not limited to):
- Engineering and discipline project design activities relating to concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility studies, EPCM and EPC projects.
- Manage engineering teams in projects and across large studies with a project delivery focus.
- Provide leadership and support to the Engineering team through supervision, mentoring, training, and motivation to produce engineering deliverables for projects and studies.
- Lead, co-ordinate and manage all engineering and design functions for a study / project.
- Ensures areas of uncertainty are highlighted and actions are taken to address them.
- Promotes collaboration with other functional groups and stakeholders for engineering matters.
- Interface between Engineering and the other disciplines on the project including Project Controls, Project Management, Procurement, Contracts, Construction, suppliers, and the client team.
- Mentoring and development of less experienced personnel.
- Support ongoing improvement and maintenance of engineering systems and procedures.

- Ensure all required engineering design criteria and specifications are generated and that they aligned with the project scope and budget.
- Ensure the engineering deliverables meet customer and other stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure all engineering functions and activities are planned and managed in a coordinated and efficient manner to enhance engineering integrity and minimize rework.
- Ability to handle complex problem-solving tasks, applying appropriate analysis and consideration of high-level technical detail.

A minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience in mining, minerals, or heavy industrial projects.
Proven experience working in an EPCM project delivery environment.
Strong background in multidisciplinary coordination and project execution.
Experience supporting or leading projects in copper or other base metals.
Demonstrated ability to manage engineering design, cost, and schedule performance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across teams and with clients.
Proficiency in engineering software and systems relevant to design, documentation, and project controls.
Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory standards within industrial project environments.

General Job Description:
The Project Manager is expected to develop and maintain a client base, manage HVAC/plumbing/process sales, and coordinate the field labor needs for each project in conjunction with field leadership. The Project Manager will use judgment and discretion in representing the company. They are expected to show a high level of commitment and involvement with their work and the company's business.
Project Management
The Project Manager is the single-source responsibility to the company and the customer.
Perform all project management functions required to promote and finalize sales, including concept engineering, complete estimates, written proposals, meetings, leading to successful job completion.
Successful management of contracts, including sales, estimating, procurement, and execution.
Coordination of field labor and installation sequencing between the customer and the company's field leadership.
Understand financial aspects of the job
Forecasting, prepare budget projections and control costs within agreed upon limits.
Provide letters, proposals, memos, contracts, change orders, and strategies for good business procedures and legal protection.
Billing, while maintaining a clear understanding of job costs.
Build and manage relationships with internal and external customers
External Client Relations - Leadership of client meetings and the development of contracts to finalize sales. Maintain cordial relationships with all clients, including vendors, subcontractors and the industry.
Internal Team Coordination - Provide project coordination, leadership and guidance of all the company's departmental efforts including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction and Service during project construction in a timely manner.
Contribute to special studies, committees, etc. as directed by your supervisor to advance the company's technical abilities in engineering, planning and estimating, installation procedures, and related areas.
Effective communication with internal and external customers
Consult with appropriate personnel including all Management and Department Heads.
Attend all Project Management Sales and Construction Meetings.
Schedule and coordinate construction project kickoff meetings with department heads and supervisors.
Utilize internal resources to the fullest extent necessary to meet the customer requirements
The Project Manager utilizes and coordinates staff from all departments, as needed, for each project. During the life of a project, the Project Manager provides project leadership and coordinates employees assigned to the project by department supervisors to achieve the project vision and contracted scope associated with the customer requirements.
Mentoring – Act as a mentor to others assigned by your supervisor and actively participate in recruiting, training, and coaching of sales staff to support department initiatives and growth.
Other duties and special assignments as directed by your supervisor or upper management to accomplish mutually agreed upon goals.
Position Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience in estimating, design, and/or management of HVAC projects from $50,000 to $25+ million.
Ability to operate independently and autonomously to facilitate goals outlined by your supervisor.
Demonstrate a corresponding high sense of integrity.
Demonstrated experience/ability to develop new business.
Strong interpersonal and project management abilities, employing strong organizational skills to respond successfully to a high volume of issues.
Maintain a community presence in an industry-based or community-based organization.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Experience preferred in Business Systems Software (JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, Smartsheet, etc.)
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, especially when conducting job site walks.
Must possess & maintain a valid Class C driver's license and have the ability to drive a vehicle.
Regular and routine attendance
Typical hours: Monday to Friday, starting as early as 6:00 am and ending at 7:00 pm.
