Additionally, Group will be managing Center's inpatient cancer program. Cancer Center is a 210 bed tax district hospital, which has received A ratings from Leapfrog and CMS since ratings have been awarded to hospitals. They are in the top 5% of hospitals in the United States based on quality and patient safety. The inpatient cancer program is accredited by the American College Of Surgeons. The hospital boasts a nurse navigator. The Medical Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hospital district employs more than 50 physicians in nearly all the subspecialties of internal Medicine and surgery. These physicians, as well as non-employed community physicians who are members of the Health Network, will be supporting the cancer center, which will have a semi-exclusive relationship at the Medical Center. The Cancer Center operates in partnership with the Mayo Clinic.
The Cancer Center is staffed initially with one radiation oncologist and two medical oncologists. Multidisciplinary clinics will be available.
