Northern Region: Port Huron, MI Southeast Region: Houma, LA Southwest Region: San Diego, CA Duties and Responsibilities As a Marine Interdiction Agent, you will perform marine-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States.
Typical duties may include: Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.
Interpreting radar data to calculate appropriate intercept while tracking vessels and people to a successful interdiction.
Searching persons, vessels, baggage, and cargo for contraband or weapons incidental to detention or arrest.
Collecting, refining, and analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence.
Qualifications This GS-11 grade level position has a selective factor: As a minimum qualification requirement all candidates must have a qualifying Merchant Mariner Credential.

You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Independently applying advanced skill in controlling/commanding law enforcement scenes to include conducting searches, making arrests, processing arrests and seizure of evidence and property.
Conducting investigative inquiries using various techniques, examining files and records, physical and documentary evidence to identify logical conclusions.
Utilizing cameras and other electronic high-tech surveillance equipment to gather evidence, collect, evaluate, and then preserve that physical and documentary evidence.
Highly skilled in writing comprehensive arrest, criminal and incident reports.
Assisting government or state attorneys in preparation for court cases or grand juries, testifies as a law enforcement officer in court proceedings, and administrative forums.
Considerable experience applying arrest authorities and constitutional law in various alleged criminal situations, or knowledge and experience of CBP laws, regulations, policies, legal precedent.
OR GS-11 Education Substitution for experience: A Ph.D.
or equivalent doctoral degree, three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M.

* The Medical Surgical Ortho unit at Mount Carmel New Albany has 60 beds.
The Registered Nurse could expect to see a variety of patients recovering from total joint replacements and fractures, spinal surgeries, cosmetic surgery, as well as general medical/surgical telemetry patients.
Med/Surg Ortho is known for being team oriented and delivering excellent quality care as well as an outstanding patient experience.
Orientation is individualized to meet the needs of the new hire and their level of nursing experience.

*About the job:
* The Registered Nurse (RN), within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
The Staff RN is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of Mount Carmel Health System.
*What you will do:
* * Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence-based practice; Assists provider with patient assessment, examinations and treatments; Perform basic medical procedures under the supervision of a provider, including set up of procedures.
* Administer medications under the direction of the provider, according to the organization's standards, policies, procedures, and/or guidelines.
* Assist in emergency situations under the direction of the provider
* Thoroughly educate and explain procedures to patients and family members (diagnosis, disease process etc.).
* Document accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines.
* Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers as appropriate.

* * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
* Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
* Current BLS/CPR
* Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team

* serve as unit-level leaders that plan, organize, staff, direct, and ensure collaborative multidisciplinary patient care delivery.
The Nurse Manager provides coaching, direction, and supervision of their assigned unit(s) and all staff members.
*What you will do:
* * Direct the planning and implementation of department education/training to promote professional competence/growth and ensure optimal patient care.
* Ensure financial performance and profitability through the development and monitoring of the operating and capital budgets for designated areas/units.
* Direct all quality monitoring for designated areas, focusing on optimal patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous quality and process improvement program for unit services.
* Develop departmental standards, policies, procedures, guidelines and protocols.
Maintains awareness of department/service area operations and potential for problems through regular rounding and interaction wit colleagues, leaders, and patients.

* * Graduate from school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in nursing required.
* Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio
* Minimum of two years' recent and relevant clinical experience
