We are in search of a Chemist to support laboratory testing, product preparation, troubleshooting, application work, and customer‐focused technical activities in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform formulation work and apply knowledge of raw materials and coating chemistry.
• Identify technical issues, analyze data, and determine next steps with supervisor guidance.
• Apply key variables and adjust products or parameters under supervision.
• Document all work accurately, maintain lab notebooks, and prepare technical reports.
• Participate in customer trials, adjust priorities to meet deadlines, and represent the organization professionally.
• Execute processes supporting product transition from lab to production and customer use.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish (Required)

EXL Risk Control is looking for self-directed independent contractors who possess excellent

communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to meeting client quality and

timeliness standards. You will work from your own home or office, and service onsite

survey/inspection assignments in the Chicago, IL area, and other locations within approximately 45 miles of Chicago.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for scheduling on-site surveys and providing risk control reports to

insurance industry clients. These reports contain information necessary to underwrite a

commercial insurance policy and may include recommendations to control and/or correct

potential loss producing conditions associated with that policy. You will be expected to

manage assignments you accept, successfully secure customer appointments within a

local territory and complete work assignments on time.

Our Risk Control Inspectors evaluate businesses behind the scenes to identify hazards and

improve safety, mitigating risks for our insurance company clients. The type of businesses

we survey are commercial operations, including retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments,

construction jobsites, churches, schools, etc. Most surveys are focused on assessing the

business for Property and General Liability coverage, but we also service other commercial

insurance lines of business including Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability,

Inland Marine and Builders Risk.

Qualifications

Preferred experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim,

loss control, underwriting, and/or fire and safety experience is a plus, but all interested

candidates are encouraged to submit their qualifications. In lieu of experience, we can refer

you to a 15-hour online certification option to qualify you. Fees are negotiable depending on

experience and the unique aspects of selected jobs.

Contract & Partner Support

Correspondence & Documentation

• Review, sort, and respond to inbound customer correspondence
• Research account details and prepare written or verbal responses

• Generate reports, forms, and customer communications as needed

Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of recent high call volume customer service experience

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Execution: Own roadmaps for our front-end website product and integrations with strategic partners. Coordinate across commerce and engineering to ensure engineering has clear requirements, business context, and acceptance criteria.
• Conversion Optimization: Work with the VP/GM of Commerce to identify and prioritize conversion improvements across the full purchase funnel. Define success metrics, track performance post-launch, and iterate.
• Customer Insights: Develop a deep understanding of our customer journey; identify product solutions to user needs and friction points
• Product Health: Leverage data, customer feedback, and hands-on testing to ensure our products maintain a high bar for quality and reliability.
• AI Tools as a Force Multiplier: We expect everyone on the product and engineering team to actively use AI tools for research, spec writing, data analysis, and workflow acceleration. You should already be comfortable with this.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused: Attentive to the end-to-end customer experience; able to identify issues and get them fixed.
• Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to evaluate business impact and make informed product tradeoffs.
• Technical Foundation: Have a foundational understanding of web and e-commerce technologies, and leverage that knowledge to collaborate effectively with technology teams and ensure the product roadmap decisions are made with an eye toward execution realities.
