As the Clinical Manager of our Abdominal Transplant Program, you will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing clinical operations, driving quality initiatives, and ensuring exceptional patient outcomes. Lead and manage the clinical operations of the Abdominal Transplant Program, including patient care, staff performance, and program development.

• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Provide leadership in clinical decision-making, resource allocation, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning and program expansion to meet evolving community needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Nursing. If Bachelor's is not in Nursing, a Master's degree in Nursing is required.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing required
• Certification in Basic Life Support required
• Certification in Advanced Life Support required
• Professional certification in clinical area or management required within one year of exam eligibility

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

• Three (3) or more years of experience in clinical area of practice.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assists with the deployment of departmental goals that support the mission, vision and values of the organization.

• Works with personnel to assure staff have access to and are appropriately utilizing supplies
• Provides input to Nurse Manager/Director on budget preparation.

Strategic Planning

• Develops, maintains and evaluates organizational systems that support the implementation of strategic plans for the hospital and for the division of nursing.
• Evaluates organizational systems to facilitate the delivery of nursing care.
• Stays up-to-date on new developments in healthcare and looks for business development areas as well as for opportunities for new patient care services.

Medical Staff Relations

• Remains visible and available to physicians and medical directors, and seeks input and feedback on hospital matters, especially planning of services, medical staff bylaws, as well as policy and procedure changes. Attends medical staff meetings to ensure effective communication throughout the hospital. Provides rapid response and follow-up to medical staff issues; greets new physicians and orients them to hospital operations; seeks ways to encourage physicians to utilize hospital services.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
