Electrical Account Manager – Service
Location: Fairfax County, VA
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 + Commission (Up to $150K OTE)
Full-Time | Local Travel Across Northern Virginia
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading, fast-growing mission-critical infrastructure company in Northern Virginia to hire an Electrical Account Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed electrician with strong commercial experience to step into a client-facing, revenue-generating role. If you’ve had exposure to estimating, project coordination, or sales-related responsibilities (such as bids, RFIs, or submittals), this role offers a clear pathway into account management and business development.
The Role
As an Electrical Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing client relationships, supporting service delivery, and identifying opportunities for growth across electrical and related services.
You’ll leverage your technical expertise in the field to scope projects, collaborate with internal teams, and build long-term partnerships with clients - while gradually expanding your involvement in sales and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor
- Support the preparation of estimates, proposals, and service scopes (labor, materials, equipment)
- Assist with bids, RFIs, submittals, and other pre-construction or sales-related activities
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and support service delivery
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings across existing accounts
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure successful project execution
- Support contract discussions and ongoing account management activities
- Ensure all work aligns with safety standards and industry regulations
What We’re Looking For
- Active Journeyman Electrician License (or higher)
- Strong hands-on experience in commercial electrical environments (data center experience is a plus, not required)
- Exposure to sales, estimating, or pre-construction activities (e.g., bids, RFIs, submittals, cost estimating)
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and infrastructure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical teams and clients
- Interest in transitioning into a more client-facing, business-oriented role
