Senior Real Estate Real Estate Litigation Attorney | Hybrid (Manhattan) | $170K–$220K DOE
Join a well-established real estate and civil litigation law firm in Manhattan known for trusted counsel, courtroom credibility, and sophisticated client representation across housing court and civil litigation matters. The firm highlights working with high-profile clients (e.g., celebrities in entertainment, plus entities like Tower Capital Management, MTAG Services, Capital One Bank, Tiffany & Co.) and a mix of corporations, real estate companies, hotels, and individuals, and the firm's partner has managed to bring on some former BigLaw attorneys to increase the level of client service and employee development. Day-to-Day
· Represent clients in NYC Housing Court, Civil Court, and related tribunals.
· Handle dispositive motions, hearings, case strategy, and trial preparation.
· Conduct depositions, draft pleadings, and advocate in court.
· Advise on risk, settlement strategy, and litigation outcomes.
· Collaborate across practice areas on related real estate litigation matters.

Open Role: Associate Attorney (Med Mal + Other various cases)
• Run a varied defense docket (heavy med-mal + opportunities in products/mass tort, premises, legal malpractice, appellate).
• Take and defend depositions, brief and argue motions, work closely with medical and liability experts, and appear in court regularly.
• Collaborate with trial teams on complex matters and handle cases end-to-end where appropriate.
We’re looking for
• 3–4+ years litigation experience in insurance defense or civil litigation; med-mal experience is ideal, PI-plaintiff lawyers with strong medical records/injury experience are welcome to pivot.
• Courtroom exposure, dispositive motion practice, deposition experience, and expert work (must-have).
• Comfort with defense time-keeping/billing.
• (Also open to candidates with ~2 years from a med-mal shop at a small/mid-size firm.)
Compensation + Benefits
• Base: Up to $160k depending on experience
• Bonus: Typically 15%-18% of base, based on overall performance, hours, and firm contributions (no rigid formula).
• Billables: 2,000 hours/year.
