*Job Summary*
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), where you will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through personalized occupational therapy services. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans across diverse settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. *Responsibilities*
* Hours and rates may vary by visit type.
* Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and safety.
* Support the development and execution of individualized care plans under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists.
* Provide hands-on therapy interventions for patients in various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home health visits, and skilled nursing facilities.
* Help monitor patient progress by documenting responses to therapy activities and communicating updates to the therapy team.
* Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures to enhance ongoing recovery at home or in community settings.
* Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs, and documentation aligned with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, especially for populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, or those recovering from acute injuries or surgeries.
*Experience*
* Prior experience assisting with ADLs in clinical or home health settings is highly preferred.
* Demonstrated familiarity with inpatient and outpatient therapy environments, including skilled nursing facilities or clinics.
* Experience working with diverse patient populations such as geriatrics or pediatrics is advantageous.
* Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles to support effective therapy delivery.
* Hands-on experience in acute care or medical imaging environments is a plus but not required.
* Strong understanding of care plans development and implementation within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
