Harvest Supervisor – Full-time, On-site
Role Overview:
Oversee and coordinate pork processing floor operations, ensuring full compliance with USDA, HACCP, GMP, and animal welfare standards. Lead and develop a team of hourly employees in a fast-paced production environment located in southwestern Minnesota, near the South Dakota and Iowa borders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise kill floor operations to meet production targets
- Ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, GMP, and animal welfare standards
- Monitor humane handling and stunning procedures
- Lead, train, and discipline hourly employees
- Enforce safety policies and maintain strong safety culture
- Communicate with QA, maintenance, and management to resolve issues
- Maintain accurate production, attendance, and incident records
- Address employee concerns, assist with language/cultural barriers
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of the kill floor
Required Qualifications:
- 2–5 years supervisory experience in pork/red meat processing
- Prior kill floor experience
- Strong knowledge of USDA regulations and animal welfare
- Ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Flexible hours including weekends
- Able to work in cold, wet, noisy environments
- Stand and walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
