Providing daily supervision and mentorship
Managing household routines and student schedules

The Associate Counsel is responsible for providing legal support and advice to the hospital and its affiliates under the guidance of senior legal personnel. 1. Conduct legal research and analysis to support various legal matters, including contract review, compliance and risk management issues and potential litigation.
2. Represent the hospital in administrative agency matters, including before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, and the Bureau of Workers Compensation, and in certain civil proceedings; assist outside counsel in litigation matters.
3. Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, drafts policies and procedures related to hospital operations and other legal matters, and provides on-demand legal advice and counsel for departments across the health system.

The Death Claims and Beneficiary Specialist prepares and processes insurance death claims as deaths are reported. This role changes and maintains beneficiaries on life policies so accurate records are retained. This role also prepares state reports for annual compliance reporting for unclaimed funds.
Responsibilities
- Receive inbound phone calls helping members determine what needs to be done with their beneficiary(s) or provide assistance in completing forms they received.
- Begin the insurance death claim process when notified, and guide beneficiaries through the claim process with phone calls, letters and email.
- Input the data in the policy database and Excel.
- Process claim checks from routine to highly complex.
- Input and process change of beneficiary information as it’s received into the policy database.
- Barcode and scan claims and change of beneficiary information into document imaging system.
- Filing and general office duties.
- Research and locate heirs/next of kin/beneficiaries.
- Prepare annual state reports for unclaimed funds. Review state regulations and adjust procedures for compliance. Perform due-diligence.

Producing and preparing files for book printing in a fully-digital book printing environment. This is NOT a traditional graphic design position, but does require familiarity with design software, strong attention to detail, and a keen eye for layout and design. Our prepress team maintains quality standards and processes files prepared by clients--checking for common printing or layout errors--and prepares digital proofs for approval.
