Job Description
Position Summary
The Manager in Training (MIT) will spend 9-12 months rotating throughout the Food & Beverage departments in order to gain a broad knowledge of the division. During the program the MIT will experience three Food & Beverage Division departments and will work all positions and all shifts and spend time during each rotation shadowing the department manager to learn supervisory skills necessary for each department. The MIT will participate in various Human Resources led learning modules throughout the program and at the conclusion of the program the MIT will be counseled on next steps for promotion into a supervisor or management role. This position reports to the Director of Food & Beverage.

Position Summary
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for maintaining financial profitability, Forbes Five-Star service level, excellent guest response, and upkeep of the operation. Additional responsibilities include setting up floor, hands-on management during service, payroll and administrative duties, and on-going training. The Jr. Sous Chef supports the Sous Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared and presented according to restaurant standards. Salary and Duty Location Recruitment Incentives and Benefits
Annual Base Salary for newly appointed CBPOs varies as follows:
GS-9: $61,111 - $124,443 per year
Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary.
Officers are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, generous annual and sick leave, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan.
LOCATION INCENTIVES: If you accept one of the duty locations listed below, you may be eligible to receive an additional 15%-25% of your salary each year for the first three (3) years of employment in addition to any overtime pay. Some locations may offer 25% for four (4) years.

Qualifications:
You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes:
- Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
- Enforcing laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping.
- Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats.
- Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity.
Education Substitution: A master's (or higher) degree or an LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of specialized experience AND successfully completed graduate-level education.

- Residency: Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.

Our Requirements

- Expertise in computer systems including Microsoft Excel, Foodager (or other inventory management system) and email communication
- Advanced Culinary expertise, including mastery of knife techniques and execution of high-level cooking standards
- Proven ability to work autonomously while making strategic decisions and collaborating effectively across all levels of leadership

Position Summary
The Cook III helps with station assignments and prepares hot and cold foods for the restaurant according to Chef de Cuisineβs specifications. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food items following established recipes and safety standards. The Cook III position requires maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen while ensuring food is prepared in a timely manner and to the highest quality standards. This position reports to the Chef de Cuisine.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
- Prepare & serve food items according to standardized recipes and chef specifications
- Follow daily preparation list to ensure items are ready for service
- Cook food to order
- Work and maintain sautΓ©, grill, and roasting stations
- Help organize kitchen items including, dry goods, kitchen equipment, storage containers, cleaning supplies, and food deliveries
- Set up, work, and breakdown station
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, participate in pre and post shift cleaning and organization to include but not limited to kitchen equipment, walk in fridge/freezer storage, dry storage, trash, recycle, mopping, sweeping
- Work closely with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operation and effective communication during food service
- Submit production needs for following day by shift end
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of food preparation experience preferred
- ServSafe or similar food safety course certification preferred
- Proficient written and verbal communication English skills, Spanish a plus
- Experience in guest facing roles
- Knowledge of a variety of cooking techniques to include baking, broiling, grilling, sautΓ©, roasting, blanching and more
- Knowledge of food handling, safety and other restaurant guidelines
- Knowledge of simple sauce and dressing
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work under stressful circumstances
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks
- Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner
- Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
