A Brief Overview:
The Simulation Specialist with planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating education programs that incorporate simulation techniques for all levels of personnel. - Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and practices for the Simulation Center
- Assist with development of learning opportunities using simulations and simulators.
- Coordinate with community as needed.
- Serve as liaison between the simulation center and the community, and other simulation centers.
- Assist individual departments with "Skills Days" as needed.
- Assist faculty with abstracts, Power Point presentations, conference workshops, manuscripts for publication.
- Identify extramural grants/partnerships funding opportunities (governmental, professional foundations, industry) for education.
- Identify extramural grants/partnerships funding opportunities for patient safety research.
- Initiation and implementation of research studies
- Coordinate simulation research data collection, management and analysis
- Maintain data confidentiality and security.
