Job Details Key Responsibilities Manage full lifecycle of family law matters: intake, pleadings, discovery, hearings, trial when needed, post-decree work.
Provide compassionate and responsive counsel to clients, helping them understand options and process.
Use negotiation, mediation, and where applicable, collaborative law approaches, to resolve disputes.
Draft agreements, manage settlements, prepare for and conduct hearings or trials.
Work with support staff, case managers, paralegals, maintain case documentation and time/budget management.
Stay current on family law developments, statutory and case law changes, and local court practices.
Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice in Ohio and in good standing.
Substantial experience in family law (minimum several years; someone capable of independent handling of complex family law cases).
Strong litigation, negotiation, and drafting skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work sensitively with clients in emotionally charged situations.
