Work Environment
This is a full-time, non-exempt position scheduled from Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We have flexible hours so you can start anytime between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. - an 8-hour shift plus 30 min. lunchbreak will have you finish your day between 2.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. This position works in a manufacturing production environment. This role routinely uses standard personal protective equipment such as required Safety Glasses and Safety shoes, as well as head and hearing protection and gloves, as required.

Role Overview
Atlas Gunworks operates in a tight-tolerance, precision manufacturing environment where design intent must translate flawlessly into repeatable production execution.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer owns the development, validation, and optimization of manufacturing processes across machining, assembly, and finishing operations. This role drives fixture strategy, process capability, documentation rigor, and continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact throughput, cost, and product quality.
This is a hands-on, floor-integrated engineering role requiring deep technical manufacturing experience, not theoretical engineering exposure.
Core Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Development
• Design, build, and validate end-to-end manufacturing processes
• Establish process routing, sequence optimization, and production flow
• Develop machining and assembly strategies aligned to tight tolerances
• Monitor process stability and implement corrective improvements
Fixture & Workholding Engineering
• Design and implement precision fixtures and workholding solutions
• Improve repeatability, setup reduction, and cycle efficiency
• Collaborate with CNC programmers and machinists on tooling strategies
• Validate fixture performance through production trials
Technical Documentation & Work Instructions
• Create detailed work instructions and visual standard work
• Define tooling, consumables, and machine requirements
• Maintain engineering documentation and revision control
• Support controlled document release and change management processes
CAD, Modeling & Drawing Management
• Develop 3D models for fixtures, tooling, and process aids
• Update engineering drawings and manufacturing prints

• Support tolerance stack-up analysis
Additive & Laser Technology Integration
• Utilize 3D printing for rapid prototyping and fixture development
• Support laser marking / engraving process development

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
• Lead cost, scrap, and cycle-time reduction initiatives
• Drive OPEX and Lean manufacturing projects
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Support lights-out machining and automation initiatives
Cross-Functional Execution
• Partner with Design Engineering, Quality, and Production teams
• Support NPI launches and process readiness
• Manage engineering task execution within dynamic production schedules
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
• Direct experience in tight-tolerance machining environments
• Fixture and workholding design expertise
• Strong GD&T application knowledge
• Experience creating work instructions and process documentation
• Hands-on metals manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Firearms, aerospace, or medical device manufacturing exposure
• Additive manufacturing / 3D printing experience
• Laser marking / laser engraving process knowledge

As the Production Supervisor, you will ensure production activities are completed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner for Mill.
Takes a lead role in leading production crews in completing jobs/tasks. Directs the work of production crews. Conducts root cause analysis; Works with a team of engineers, maintenance and operating personnel to improve throughput, reduce cost, increase efficiency and quality, reduce waste or non-productive time. Provides a systematic approach to business improvement.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Plan, Supervise, and ensure execution of all the production activities of the plant in Willsboro
- Fully supports location health, safety, environmental and quality programs by participating in their implementation, maintenance and enforcement as well as compliance with corporate programs and policies.
- Coach and/or hold employees accountable immediately when you see those not meeting requirements.
- Recognize and celebrate employee efforts and successes.
- Ensure incident investigation and root-cause because analysis is conducted whenever an incident occurs. Ensure the incident report is completed immediately and action items are addressed in a timely manner. Review the accident site and meet with people involved.
- Lead efforts in fostering a team environment within the production staff.
- Ensure production timely collection of production data to ensure equipment is operating efficiently
- Effectively communicate expectations and provide feedback to employees regarding performance in safety, quality, and product delivery.
- Manage production schedule and organize available resources to fulfill customer needs.
- Partner with site Maintenance organization to effectively and proactively improve up-time, reduce unplanned repairs, minimize ‘run-to-fail’ activities.
- Liaise with Packaging & Shipping to ensure product is available for on-time shipment.
- Provide front line process technical expertise / problem solving and hands-on process assistance to the production staff to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all processes and work activities are fully compliant with regulatory and corporate policy – that operators are well-trained and executing requirements.
- Communicate with Customer Service regarding customer demand and issues that may arise impacting production.
- Establish, implement and communicate KPIs to effectively drive all of the above-mentioned activities.

Unit Description: As a Resource RN, you will care for a mixed population of patients across the UVM Medical Center. Our team is comprised of RNs and LNAs who float between different units to help cover inpatient staffing needs. As a department, we support up to 20 different units ranging from Medical-Surgical, Cardiology/Telemetry, Critical Care, to Maternal Child.
