Camp Counselors play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can have fun. This involves ensuring child safety, facilitating engaging activities, and fostering positive social interactions. This role requires a love for children and a playful spirit while adhering to all safety and operational procedures. Key responsibilities include ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning of camp areas, and being creative in planning activities.

Spring Break Camp Dates: 4/6/2026 - 4/10/2026
Summer Camp Dates: 6/8/2026 - 7/17/2026



Minimum qualifications & Requirements

Must be 18 or older, candidates must be able to work daytime hours, Monday through Friday, ranging from 7:30am-3:30pm, 8:30am-4:30pm, and 10:30am-6pm. This position requires drug testing and background check prior to employment.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as an Attorney at Sweeny, Wingate & Barrow, P.A. located in Columbia, SC. As an Attorney, you will be responsible for handling litigation and consulting cases for the firm's clients. This includes representing clients in trial and appellate courts, conducting research, providing legal advice, and negotiation.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Advising and representing clients before tribunals on litigation matters
  • Holding meetings with clients in order to discuss details of a case
  • Conducting research and analysis of legal problems
  • Analyzing the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents
  • Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for clients
  • Writing and oral advocacy on behalf of clients
  • Overseeing paralegal, law clerk, and legal assistant work product
  • Taking depositions
  • Sitting as first, second, or third chair on bench or jury trials
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Β· Juris Doctorate Degree from an ABA accredited institution

Β· Member of the South Carolina Bar

Β· Member of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina

Β· Certificate of Completion of Rule 403 of the South Carolina Appellate Court Rules (SCACR)

Β· Minimum of one year experience in civil litigation

Β· Strong negotiation, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills

Β· Proficiency in legal research

Β· Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications

Β· Ability to work as a β€œself-starter” and handle litigation matters from pleadings to appeal

Β· Ability to be flexible, to adapt, and act quickly when urgent matters require it

Β· High ethical standards consistent with Rules of Professional Conduct

Β· Ability to maintain confidentiality consistent with Rules of Professional Conduct
