The Mission

But the interface for this category doesn’t exist yet. This role is about helping invent what interacting with an AI therapist should feel like - designing an experience people trust, build relationships with, and return to regularly.

The Role

Job Summary

The EKG Telemetry Monitoring Technician is responsible for analyzing and interpreting cardiac rhythms, documenting patient events, and providing telephonic support to patients and healthcare providers nationwide. This role ensures the accurate processing of cardiac data, timely escalation of emergent events, and delivery of reports to the appropriate care teams. The Monitoring Technician plays a vital role in maintaining Precision Monitoring’s high standards of patient care and clinical excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Record, document, and interpret EKG monitor data and patient events.
• Monitor and process real-time EKG data for patients and physicians across the U.S.
• Provide telephonic coordination for patient care and emergency protocols in accordance with company and physician guidelines.
• Support patients remotely by troubleshooting monitoring devices and recording symptomatic events.
• Continuously review and process cardiac data, ensuring emergent reports are delivered promptly to the correct facility or provider.
• Provide ongoing call support for Precision Monitoring’s network of physicians, practices, and facilities.
• Uphold all organizational policies and ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in EKG rhythm interpretation required.
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia exam with a score of 85% or higher.
• Nationally recognized certification for cardiac technicians required.
• Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) required within 3 months of hire.

Job Description

Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to promote optimum patient rehabilitation. Provides Speech- Language Pathology services as defined by the California Speech-Language Pathology Practice Act, applying the principles, methods, and procedures for the screening, evaluation, and treatment of disorders of speech, voice, cognition, language, and swallow.

• Additionally, the Senior Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide Speech Language Pathology services within an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards.
• This individual will demonstrate accountability for, and contribution to, the Department’s daily operations, including fulfilling charge duties as requested.
• The Senior SLP serves as a resource for other clinicians or healthcare providers, as needed, for more difficult or complex cases requiring advanced clinical skills. These include, but are not limited to, the demonstration of advanced competency in the performance and interpretation of videofluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS), also known as modified barium swallow studies (MBSS).
• Inpatient SLP providers must also demonstrate competency in Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES), as determined by formal sign-off by a qualified individual who can attest to the provider’s competency.
• The Senior SLP may supervise and/or mentor other SLPs as requested.
• Exhibit fiscal responsibility through accurate time-keeping of assigned work shifts (which includes compliance with management-designated start/end times).
• Participate in program development and quality improvement activities as requested by management
• Adhere to the Department’s established productivity standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of Accredited Speech-Language Pathology Program; Masters degree required
• Minimum of three (3) years’ full-time clinical experience (For Inpatient SLPs, experience must be in acute hospital setting); if working in NICU, at least one year experience in NICU care
• For Outpatient SLPs: Demonstrated proficiency in video swallow studies (VFSS/MBSS) within 6 months of hire
• For Inpatient SLPs: Demonstrated proficiency in both VFSS/MBSS and FEES by within 6 months of hire

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

• Current valid California Speech-Language Pathology license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence as required by the State of California
• Current BLS (Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association) for Healthcare Provider
• Valid California drivers license and proof of automobile insurance
• CCS-Paneled or in process if working in NICU/OP Pediatrics

• Collect copays and prepare cash, check, and credit card transactions for delivery to Cashier in accordance with hospital policies and procedures; maintain accurate logs of all transactions.
• Manage patient phone calls, including appointment coordination and follow-up.
• Provide front desk and back desk administrative office support.
• Support the Office Coordinator with insurance authorization, authorization tracking, and communication with therapists and patients regarding insurance requirements and limitations.
