We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for an Adult Medicine position near Oakland, California.
This locum tenens role offers an exciting opportunity to work independently with supportive clinical staff.
Position Highlights: Practice Setting: Outpatient primary care focused on adult and geriatric populations.
90% of time spent in a clinic setting.
10% of time designated for home visits and skilled nursing facility visits.
Schedule: Full-time role spanning 3 clinical days.
Additional days for documentation, home visits, and facility visits as needed.
Call Options: Call coverage is optional and can be discussed during onboarding.
On-call schedule: Nights (5 PM???8 AM) and weekends (Saturday 8 AM???Monday 8 AM) via beeper.

Duration: Through March 31, 2025, with potential for extension based on ongoing needs.
Requirements: Licensure: Must hold an active California Nurse Practitioner license.

Responsibilities
- Performs health assessments, including a thorough history and physical examination, ordering or performing certain diagnostic tests, medication orders, evaluation of psychosocial and family aspects of the situation sufficient to make a general health assessment, and diagnose the nature of common acute and chronic conditions, and any necessary follow-up care.
- Promotes and maintains periodic health assessments and preventive screening, assessment and guidance with regard to health hazards, good family health habits and family planning.
- Manages common acute and chronic illnesses, and initiation of life-saving procedures in emergencies.
