Job Summary
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient General Surgery team in San Antonio, TX . This position is primarily clinic-based, focusing on the evaluation and management of surgical patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an APP looking to establish a long-term role within a growing surgical program.
Key Responsibilities-
Provide outpatient care for general surgery patients, including new patient evaluations and follow-up visits

Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient management

Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the surgical team

Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies

Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery expectations

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR

Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure continuity and quality of care

Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)

Previous surgical or outpatient specialty experience preferred

Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a clinic setting

Interest in long-term growth within a surgical specialty

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities
- Perform root canal therapy, retreatment, and apical surgery procedures to the highest standards of care
- Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries of the dental pulp and periapical tissues
- Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to develop and execute treatment plans for patients
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients to educate them on their treatment options and help them make informed decisions about their oral health
- Ensure that all treatment is performed in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards
- Keep accurate and detailed patient records in our practice management system

Qualifications
Requirements:
