Salem Hospital, a proud member of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Sleep Medicine physician to join our growing outpatient practice. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered sleep care within a collaborative, academically affiliated healthcare system.Board certification in Pulmonary Disease in addition to Sleep Medicine is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be committed to clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the delivery of evidence-based care in an outpatient-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, and circadian rhythm disorders
- Interpret sleep studies including polysomnograms (diagnostic, PAP titrations, MSLT) and home sleep apnea tests
- Collaborate closely with sleep technologists, respiratory therapists, advanced practice providers, and referring physicians
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health efforts
- Engage in teaching and mentoring medical staff and trainees as applicable
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using the electronic medical record
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine is required
- Board Certification or eligibility in Pulmonary Disease is preferred
- Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Practice Environment
- Primarily outpatient-based role with some inpatient responsibilities (if doing pulmonary medicine). ICU coverage is not expected with this position.
