As a Technical Support Analyst specializing in Help Desk functions, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to end-users within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient resolution of IT-related issues, maintain excellent customer service, and contribute to the overall stability of our IT environment. Responsibilities

• Help Desk Support:
• Respond promptly to incoming technical support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting and issue resolution for hardware, software, and network problems.
• Document all support interactions, including issue details, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, in a comprehensive manner.
• End-User Assistance:
• Assist end-users in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Educate users on basic IT concepts and best practices to prevent recurring issues.
• Ensure a positive customer experience by providing empathetic and courteous service.
• Software and Application Support:
• Install, update, and configure software applications and operating systems for end-users.
• Troubleshoot software-related issues, including application errors and compatibility problems.
• Collaborate with other teams for advanced software support and escalation.
• Hardware Support:
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, such as malfunctioning components or peripherals.
• Coordinate hardware repairs and replacements when necessary.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware assets.
• Network Support:
• Assist with basic network connectivity issues, including troubleshooting internet connectivity and VPN problems.
• Escalate complex network issues to the appropriate team for resolution.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
• Create and update knowledge base articles and FAQs to facilitate self-help for end-users.
• Document common issues and resolutions to expedite future problem-solving.
• User Training:
• Conduct user training sessions on IT tools, security awareness, and best practices.
• Provide guidance on password management and security protocols.
• IT Policy Adherence:
• Ensure end-users adhere to IT policies and security protocols.
• Report any potential security breaches or policy violations promptly.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Participate in team meetings and share insights for improving the Help Desk support process.
• Stay updated on the latest IT trends and technologies through training and self-study.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in technical support, particularly in a Help Desk environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with common software applications, productivity tools, and collaboration platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues methodically.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., FreshService, ServiceNow, Zendesk) and remote support tools.

The Service Technician will run electrical and mechanical diagnostics and deliver required repairs. They are responsible for performing comprehensive quality inspections and preventative maintenance services on overhead cranes and hoists. They will spend the majority of their time on clients' sites providing service and, as such, are expected to serve as frontline representatives of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists, and drives.

Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists.

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.

Proper use of a man lift during service. Must be comfortable working at heights.

Evaluate and communicate with customers recommendations requiring repairs.

Communicate with management and sales about any additional needs the customer may have.

Maintains time tracking per job and reports any product concerns or inconsistencies.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

CORE SKILLS:

Ability to read and understand work instructions, manuals, and schematics.

Ability to read and execute fabrication drawings.

Ability to manage time to a schedule and be accountable for reporting per job.

Ability to properly maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on equipment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 2 -4 years of work experience as a service technician.

Mechanical and electrical skills ideally learned from a trade school.

Overhead crane experience not required, but familiarity and exposure to working on cranes and hoists are a plus.

Welding aptitude would be a benefit.

Ability to work overtime.

Demonstrated positive attendance record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.

Ability to frequently walk, climb, kneel, bend, reach overhead, push, pull, and use a ladder or stool.

Frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise, and heights.

Ability to work in outside conditions during all seasons.

Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.

Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

The Data & Analytics / Microsoft 365 Intern is a full-time, 12-week summer internship beginning in May and is structured as a dual-track experience. The intern’s time will be intentionally divided between:

• Managed Services, supporting operational Microsoft environments
• Data & AI Consulting, contributing to data analytics and applied AI initiatives

The program is designed to provide exposure to the full solution lifecycle—from operational support to solution delivery—while developing professional consulting skills, technical fundamentals, and business acumen.

Responsibilities:

Managed Services Rotation (Operational Experience)

• Assist with ticket triage and support workflows under supervision
• Support Microsoft 365 administration and governance activities (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Entra ID)
• Update runbooks and standard operating procedures
• Observe and document SLA, escalation, and operational processes
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Data & AI Consulting Rotation (Solution Delivery Experience)

• Assist with data preparation, basic data modeling, and reporting tasks
• Support Power BI, automation, or analytics solution development
• Contribute to applied AI or proof-of-concept initiatives under guidance
• Develop professional documentation including solution notes, diagrams, and handoff materials

Professional Development

• Engage in structured AI and Microsoft learning (2–3 hours per week)

Qualifications:

Education, License or Certification:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics or related field

Experience:

• Foundational understanding of data concepts (tables, joins, relational structures)
• Exposure to SQL, reporting tools (e.g., Power BI), Microsoft 365, or Azure is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
