AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Technician (Safety Engineer) to join our team to assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of programs aimed at improving safety, ergonomics, environmental quality, and sustainability standards. This role will support our manufacturing facilities in Tallassee, AL; Weatherford, TX; Reno, NV; and Wheeling, WV, and AES Mechanical, requiring 40% travel.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the creation and enhancement of programs that drive continuous improvements in safety and ergonomics while upholding the highest environmental standards.
- Support the design and development of facilities, work areas, and operational procedures, providing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) recommendations as required.
- Support safety, environmental, and sustainability programs through online databases, monitoring data, and entering data into safety-related systems.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and stay informed of any changes in laws and regulations that may impact on the organization.

Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree (Occupational Safety & Health or Industrial Hygiene degrees) or an equivalent combination of education and 1 year of experience.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, environmental, and workers' compensation practices.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and communication across various levels of the organization.
- Basic knowledge of developing and implementing training programs and continuous improvement methods and practices.
- Strong computer literacy skills, including ability to perform safety tasks through computer-based systems, databases, tools, and the Microsoft 365 suite.

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $49,600 - $65,100 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Companyโs applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.

- Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.

- Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.
- Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
- Collects money (cash or checks) where required. Loads customer returns on to trailer and secures trailer doors.
- Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.
- Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork. Unloads all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Completes daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
- At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.

* Meet daily with the Workcell and manufacturing team to assess production schedules, (adjust as necessary based on production results) optimize run quantities, and minimize changeovers to help achieve 100% on time delivery.
* Maintain the customers' latest contract on file at all times and be familiar with the terms and conditions of the contract regarding customer liability of material planning and production scheduling. This includes the liability window for Jabil material purchase order placement, purchase price for components, and liability for any in-house materials (purchased and manufactured).
* Be the workcell's "expert" on all planning activities by supporting the Production Planner goal of never starting to build product without having a valid PO, adequate material quantities, and accurate BOM and an accurate routing.
* Lead the Workcell on the creation of Bills of Material (BOMs) and routings that allows accurate tracking of WIP assemblies and accurate inventory movement transactions.
* End-of Life (EOL) management should include chairing a meeting 30 days prior to the last planned build date to create tactics to support the EOL strategy. The Master Planner would own the build schedule, corrections and resolution of MPS to customer demand, planned tactics on deadlines for assemblies out of the various work areas on the floor, deadline for last shipment, and support plan for potential RMAs.
* Manage Jabil purge process for internal Workcell purges.

The SMT Principal Engineer I at Jabil, Inc. is a senior technical contributor responsible for leading advanced surface mount technology (SMT) process development, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing lines to ensure high-quality and efficient production of complex electronic assemblies.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of SMT processes, including paste printing, pick-and-place FUJI, reflow soldering, and post-reflow inspection (AOI, X-ray).
Conduct in-depth analysis of SMT process data, identifying root causes of defects and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and qualify new SMT equipment, materials, and processes, ensuring seamless integration into existing production environments.
Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and production teams on SMT best practices, troubleshooting, and process control.
Collaborate with design engineering, supply chain, and quality departments to ensure manufacturability (DFM) of new products and resolve SMT-related design issues.
Drive continuous improvement projects utilizing methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and SPC to enhance SMT yield, throughput, and reliability.
Author and maintain comprehensive SMT process documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and failure analysis reports.
Evaluate and implement new SMT technologies and industry trends to maintain Jabil's competitive edge and address evolving product requirements.
