SportsMED is seeking experienced a full-time mid-level provider (CRNP or PA-C) to work with Dr. Sanat Dixit. Dr. Dixit specializes in neurosurgery. This position will be located at our Huntsville, Madison and Athens offices. OR experience is preferred.

The advanced practice provider (APP) will work collaboratively with Dr. Dixit to provide comprehensive care to patients with neurosurgical conditions. The role includes a combination of outpatient clinic, inpatient care, and surgical first assist responsibilities.

Outpatient Care:

• Conduct initial and follow-up evaluations for neurosurgical patients.
• Perform focused physical examinations and neurological assessments.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests including imaging and labs.
• Coordinate care plans and communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring providers.
• Assist with preoperative evaluations and postoperative follow-ups.
• Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and timely.

Surgical Assist:

• Serve as first assist in the operating room.
• Assist with surgical procedures including positioning, prepping, and closure.
• Maintain surgical logs and participate in post-op care discussions.
