SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Construction Jobsite Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects from start to finish. This role includes the setup of the construction site, coordination of workers, and management of field office activities. The role ensures that all operations on the site adhere to quality standards, safety protocols, and budget constraints. This position requires constant presence on the construction site to monitor progress, enforce standards, and report to the Project Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Site Management:
- Plan and coordinate the setup of the construction site, including the organization of workers, equipment, and field office operations.
- Maintain a constant presence on the construction site to ensure that work adheres to company, industry, and project-specific standards.
- Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner, adhering to specific cleanliness standards or procedures.
Safety Administration:
- Administer the company’s safety policy to field employees and subcontractors, including providing training and enforcing safety protocols.
- Identify and address subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
Scheduling and Coordination:
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical path to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Update construction schedule weekly to ensure scheduled activities are highlighted and milestones are met.
- Create a two-to-three-week lookahead schedule weekly and prepare for presentation at the scheduled project meeting.
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work, covering specific topics and documenting discussions.
- Carefully plan and sequence construction activities to minimize delays while anticipating potential obstacles and adjusting maintain project momentum and efficiency.
Quality Control:
- Perform quality control checks on the work being performed, following specified procedures and using appropriate tools.
- Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work, verifying compliance, and addressing any deficiencies.
- Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion, following the defined punch list process and documenting actions taken.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain a daily log (written) of activities on the job site in a specified format or system.
- Ensure that all reports, records, timesheets, and other documents comply with company policy and procedure.
- Communicate effectively with the project team regarding ASIs (Architect’s Supplemental Instructions), RFIs (Requests for Information), and Material Submittals.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution, documenting issues and actions taken.
- Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors for quality of work or scheduling, following a defined process and outlining consequences.
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites simultaneously, including overseeing site operations and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Walk the entire project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning, using specific checklists or reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Construction Jobsite Supervisor or similar supervisory role in construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specification documents.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Prolog, Project Mates).

Northern Region: Port Huron, MI Southeast Region: Houma, LA Southwest Region: San Diego, CA Duties and Responsibilities As a Marine Interdiction Agent, you will perform marine-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States.
Typical duties may include: Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.
Interpreting radar data to calculate appropriate intercept while tracking vessels and people to a successful interdiction.
Searching persons, vessels, baggage, and cargo for contraband or weapons incidental to detention or arrest.
Collecting, refining, and analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence.
Qualifications This GS-11 grade level position has a selective factor: As a minimum qualification requirement all candidates must have a qualifying Merchant Mariner Credential.

You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Independently applying advanced skill in controlling/commanding law enforcement scenes to include conducting searches, making arrests, processing arrests and seizure of evidence and property.
Conducting investigative inquiries using various techniques, examining files and records, physical and documentary evidence to identify logical conclusions.
Utilizing cameras and other electronic high-tech surveillance equipment to gather evidence, collect, evaluate, and then preserve that physical and documentary evidence.
Highly skilled in writing comprehensive arrest, criminal and incident reports.
Assisting government or state attorneys in preparation for court cases or grand juries, testifies as a law enforcement officer in court proceedings, and administrative forums.
Considerable experience applying arrest authorities and constitutional law in various alleged criminal situations, or knowledge and experience of CBP laws, regulations, policies, legal precedent.
OR GS-11 Education Substitution for experience: A Ph.D.
or equivalent doctoral degree, three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M.
OR Combining Experience and Education: A combination of successfully completed post-bachelors' education (above) and experience.

Coast Guard Issued Merchant Mariner Credentials (MMC): You must submit a valid, legible copy of your Merchant Mariner Credential at time of application.
Your copies must include the expiration and capacity pages of your MMC.
Qualifying Capacities are Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV), Mate of 200 gross tons or greater (Inland, Great Lakes, Near Coastal or Oceans), Chief Mate, Second Mate, and Third Mate Unlimited Oceans or Master of 25 GRT or greater (Inland, Great Lakes, Near Coastal or Oceans) OR An Accepted MMLD Application: You must submit proof an accepted MMLD application, for a MMC with a qualifying capacity, and a credential status that is in a positive standing.
It cannot be pending additional information for MMLD application process.
You must have your Official MMC Credential in hand at the time of scheduling and at assessment appointment.
