Position Overview Location: Rock Valley area, Iowa Role: Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist Schedule: Weekdays: Monday ??? Friday, 6:00 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m.

with occasional weekday call from 3:00 p.m.

to 6:00 a.m.

Weekends: Rotating call schedule with 1st and 2nd call shifts (about 1 in 5 weekends) Compensation: Competitive rates, including hourly and on-call rates.

All travel expenses and malpractice coverage included.

Start Date: Mid-January 2025 (with temporary privileges available) Key Responsibilities On-Call Duties: 24-hour call rotation, with 1st call allowing the provider to go home after completing cases and return only if needed for urgent cases; 2nd call acts as back-up support.

Supervision: Supervision of experienced CRNAs in a collaborative team environment.

Primarily supervisory with occasional hands-on cases as needed.

Surgical Caseload: Approximately 13 cases daily, focusing on adult and geriatric patients.

Required Procedures: Proficiency in general anesthesia, open-heart cases, thoracic, complex orthopedic, and other specialty procedures.

Skilled in regional anesthesia, minor nerve blocks, ventilation management, and acute pain management.

Facility Highlights Setting: Well-equipped, hospital-based environment with 12 operating rooms and a Level II trauma center.

Technology: Utilizes Cerner PowerChart for electronic medical records.

ER Volume: Handles around 25,000 visits annually, ensuring a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications Board Certification: Required Licensing: Open to candidates licensed in any state Experience: Significant cardiac anesthesia experience required, with the ability to manage cardiac cases independently.
