Position Overview:


We’re seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join our growing team. In this role, you will support attorneys by managing case files, coordinating with clients and medical providers, preparing legal documents, and ensuring smooth case progression from intake through settlement or trial.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct initial client interviews and gather comprehensive case information
  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including demand letters, pleadings, and discovery requests
  • Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and courts
  • Track medical records, bills, liens, and evidence related to the case
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including compiling exhibits and preparing trial binders
  • Monitor statute of limitations and other critical deadlines
  • Provide support in settlement negotiations and mediation preparation


Qualifications:


  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a paralegal or in a workers' compensation setting
  • Strong knowledge of Workers' Compensation law, terminology, and litigation procedures
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Detail-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team


Salary and Other Compensation:


The base salary for this position is between $60,000 – $80,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will support attorneys in both estate planning/administration and civil litigation matters, ensuring efficient case management, clear communication, and accurate document preparation. Key Responsibilities

Estate Planning & Probate Administration

  • Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments.
  • Assist with the administration of estates, including preparing probate filings, inventories, and accountings.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, financial institutions, and beneficiaries to gather necessary information and provide updates.
  • Maintain organized estate files and track important deadlines related to probate and trust administration.

Litigation Support

  • Assist attorneys with all stages of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
  • Manage document production, organize case files, and maintain litigation calendars.
  • Conduct legal research as needed and summarize findings for attorney review.
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.

Administrative & General Support

  • Maintain case management systems, including docketing and document organization.
  • Prepare exhibits, trial notebooks, and other supporting materials.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys as needed.
