Project Description

  • Contract IT Project Manager / Business Analyst hybrid role supporting a large-scale implementation of the MAK SYSTEM across multiple Mayo Clinic sites.
  • This role will work closely with a Senior Project Manager and will support project coordination, requirements documentation, data conversion planning, and cross-functional communication between IT, laboratory operations, blood bank teams, and clinical stakeholders.
  • The project involves complex healthcare system implementations requiring strong documentation, stakeholder management, and implementation coordination skills.
  • Position is primarily remote but requires occasional onsite attendance for build days as needed. Preference is given to candidates located within 100 miles of Rochester, MN.
  • Contract duration expected through April 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support medium to high complexity IT projects within Mayo Clinic IT frameworks and methodologies.
  • Gather, document, and validate project requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Support project management activities including RAID tracking, status reporting, and meeting facilitation.
  • Coordinate data conversion planning, mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Collaborate with IT, lab operations, blood bank, and clinical teams to align requirements and workflows.
  • Maintain project artifacts including documentation, summaries, and traceability matrices.
  • Support change management initiatives including SOP updates, training materials, communications, and readiness planning.
  • Assist with system implementation activities including testing, system verification, and billing-related data preparation.
  • Monitor project budgets and ensure adherence to IT department and institutional budget guidelines.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to management, stakeholders, and end users.
  • Support strategic planning activities in collaboration with senior project and program managers.

Required Skills

  • Strong Project Management and Business Analyst hybrid experience.
  • Experience gathering requirements, process mapping, and maintaining traceability documentation.
  • Experience managing project coordination including RAID logs, project tracking, and status reporting.
  • Experience working within healthcare, clinical systems, laboratory operations, LIS/LIMS environments, or blood bank systems.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience supporting data conversion, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of project documentation and project artifacts.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based tools.

TheΒ HemodialysisΒ TechnicianΒ functionsΒ asΒ anΒ interdisciplinaryΒ teamΒ memberΒ toΒ meetΒ patientΒ andΒ familyΒ careΒ needsΒ withinΒ theΒ MayoΒ Clinic Dialysis Services (MCDS) system. Under the supervision of the RN, is responsible for providing assistance in the provision of dialysis services through multiple roles. These roles include but are not limited to: direct patient care and observations, basic hemodialysis techniques and procedures, equipment maintenance, water treatment monitoring, vascular access monitoring, cleaning and disinfection of the hemodialysis machine, drawing blood samples and preparing them for transport, and performing both simple and complex laboratory tests and the required quality controls. Participation in quality improvement activities to maintain patient care standards is also expected. The Hemodialysis Technician carries out designated skills that are within these functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel, as written into the policies and procedures of Mayo Clinic.



Qualifications

HighΒ SchoolΒ diplomaΒ orΒ equivalentΒ required. Six months of experience as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician required.Β Before employment, successful completion of the Ishihara's color blindness test.

Prefer experience and CHT certification. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written.) Β Experience working in a team environment. Β Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. Β Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting. Β Ability to work flexible hours.Β
