The Registered Nurse in Radiation Oncology provides care for patients whom are receiving or have received photon or proton radiation therapy.  The RN is accountable for the delivery of direct patient care including patient education, symptom assessment and management, conscious sedation and IV contrast administration.  The RN collaborates daily with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and radiation therapists.  The RN will assist in care coordination and research associated with clinical care.  The Radiation Oncology practice is continuing to expand to bring cutting edge cancer therapies to Mayo Clinic patients.  Being a part of the Radiation Oncology team, Nursing contributes to the overall success of the Department and its patients.

The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The Surgical Technologist provides safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in collaboration with the surgeon. Community Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine (3rd floor of the Baldwin Building) 

Infants, children, and adolescents through college-age. Focus on preventive care, education, and procedures. The Community Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine (CPAM) practice provides care to infants, children, and adolescents through college. The CPAM LPN is responsible for patient preparation, responding to parent online messages, reinforcing patient education, and assisting with procedures such as immunizations, catheterizations, ear washes, and suture or staple removal. We seek an LPN to join our collaborative and compassionate pediatrics team and make a meaningful impact for young patients and their families.

In the LPN role within Executive and Development Health, patient visits include but are not limited to review of patient health history, medication review, immunization administration, cerumen removal (microsuction), focused nutrition assessments, and blood pressure visits. At times patient visits are conducted by phone ahead of a provider visit and there is opportunity for rotational remote work. Telehealth encounters can also include updating health information, researching prescription discrepancies, and/or facilitating prior authorization denials.  The LPN collaborates daily with providers, desk operations specialists, patient appointment service specialists, interpreters, and medical secretaries. The Executive and Development Health program resides within General Internal Medicine and leverages a team approach to a comprehensive, expedited health care evaluation for working executive level employees.

Family Medicine provides family-oriented comprehensive care, including obstetrical care and well-woman care, newborn and well-child care, pediatrics and adult and geriatric care. LPNs play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care such as immunizations, ear washes, reinforcing patient education, and chronic disease management. The role also involves supporting in-clinic procedures and balancing timely responses to patient requests via online messaging.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) works collaboratively to improve the quality of patient care and promote desired patient outcomes in a designated population/specialty practice. The CNS functions as a leader within the three spheres of influence (Patient/Client, Nurses and Nursing Practice, Organization/System), and is an active participant in the nursing leadership team. 

This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Holders of F1 status eligible for post-completion OPT are welcome to apply. This role is NOT eligible to participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program. Qualifications:

The Transplant Coordinator Nurse is accountable for the coordination of all aspects of care for the transplant patient population. Assesses and plans in collaboration with the patient, caregiver, and multidisciplinary healthcare team to meet needs across the care continuum. Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interprets information relative to the patient's age-specific needs. Provides patient and family education on a consistent basis. Provides leadership through activities such as community involvement, committee work, and participation in quality improvement and research.
