We are searching for a motivated Temporary Accounting Assistant who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. The candidate can expect to assist the Accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills.

Educational Requirements
Highschool diploma or equivalent

Other Required Qualifications
You should have an understanding of basic Accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel or Quickbooks. You should be trustworthy, efficient, and organized.

Required Experience
At least two years experience in an accounting role

Assists Tree Surgeon by operating vehicle and equipment while on job site. Maintains and prepares equipment for daily use.This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Facilities Landscaping staff. Job Duty 1 -
Operate equipment to include chainsaw, chipper, auger, other power equipment such as water tanks and hand tools.

Job Duty 2 -
Assist tree surgeon with operational and safety issues including running rope, pruning, pruning, pulling and hauling branches, and monitoring site for bystanders and properties.

Job Duty 3 -
Participate in new tree care by assisting Tree Surgeon in planting, watering, fertilizing, staking and mulching. Manually prunes trees to 7 inches per campus standard.

Job Duty 4 -
Perform daily tasks including loading truck, Toro Lift, sharpening chainsaws, operating vehicles, checking fluids, dispensing gasoline and operating radios.

Job Duty 5 -
Assist in campus emergencies including tornado, hurricane, and ice and snow events cleanup.

The Tax Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the institution adheres to all applicable tax regulations and filing requirements by preparing and reviewing tax returns and related documentation. This position focuses on conducting thorough analyses of tax liabilities, providing guidance on tax-related issues, and maintaining accurate records to support compliance efforts.

Job Duty 1 - Prepare and file accurate federal, state, and local tax returns in accordance with applicable tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

Job Duty 2 - Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure that tax implications are considered in financial decision-making processes and reporting.

Perform preventative maintenance on food service and refrigeration equipment as well as scheduled predictive maintenance checks following manufacturers' recommendation and/or as assigned by the supervisor.

Perform repairs and maintenance duties on a wide variety of food service and refrigeration equipment such as walk-in freezers, industrial-sized steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, dishwashers, fryers, stoves, ovens, and grills.

Stamps Health Services is an outpatient ambulatory care center that provides health care and health education to students and their spouses/domestic partners. The center is located in a state-of-the-art, 40,000-square-foot facility within the Joseph Brown Whitehead Building, next to our Campus Recreation Center. Coordinate scheduling for AVP with senior level campus administration, external stakeholders, and other executives; maintain calendar.

Job Duty 2 -
Coordinate travel arrangements including processing of travel authorizations.

Job Duty 3 -
Plan, organize and lead implementation of special events and visits.

Job Duty 4 -
Research and develop materials in preparation for corporate visits, conferences, meetings, etc.

Job Duty 5 -
May oversee monitoring of budget and purchasing activity.

Job Duty 6 -
Maintain, update and monitor departmental files, databases, records and resource information.

Job Duty 7 -
Develop special presentations as directed by the AVP.

Job Duty 8 -
Communicate and interpret administrative policies; develop internal office related procedures as appropriate.

Job Duty 9 -
Oversee arrangements and provide support for special projects and unit initiatives. Manage, track and monitor progress reports, proposals and related project related communications.

Job Duty 10 -
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience
Four to five years of job related experience.

Application of required skills within a university environment is preferred

SKILLS
This job requires an extensive knowledge of Institute policies, program administration, and event planning. Skills in organization, briefing and report preparation, communications, meeting leadership and coordination and customer service are required as is the use of office related computer applications.
