Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician and Assistant to join our team in the Delaware area and surroundings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors in various retail settings. This role requires a strong understanding of floor care techniques, including buffing and stripping and waxing, window cleaning and other janitorial services as well as a commitment to providing exceptional custodial services. The Floor Technician will play a vital role in ensuring a clean and safe environment for all building occupants.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors monthly, including sweeping, mopping, etc.....
• Execute floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Conduct janitorial services using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure the windows and restrooms are well-maintained.
• Inspect floors regularly for damage or wear, reporting any issues to management promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and maintain a clean driving record to make sure company vehicles are operated safely and responsibly.

• Comply with all federal and state regulations regarding transportation of hazardous materials

• Inspect vehicles before and after trips to help ensure safe and on-time deliveries

• Load, unload, and organize orders carefully ensuring that all products are properly secured, and hazardous material is separated appropriately.

• Understand and adhere to FMCSA regulations

• Double-check purchase orders and delivery tickets to confirm routes and inventory, helping reduce errors and improve customer satisfaction.

• Support job site safety by checking for and reporting any potential hazards, to help prevent accidents and protect people and property.

• Take photos of all delivered products as required by company policy.

• Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and receipts.
