Sr. Product Development Manager

Position Overview
Our client in the automotive accessories industry is looking for a Senior Product Development Manager. This is a full-time, onsite role. The position begins as soon as early-mid April and is a long-term, permanent hire.

This role is HYBRID, onsite, in Richmond, IL M-Th. WFH Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full front-end product development process from ideation through validation, development, and handoff for commercialization
• Lead concept creation, competitive analysis, and early-stage innovation for key automotive accessory categories (seat covers, steering wheel covers, cushions, floor mats, mobile accessories)
• Develop complete product briefs, determine feasibility, and guide designers through early stages of product creation
• Build and present business cases including pricing, margin targets, positioning, and financial analysis
• Partner with global suppliers and factories to develop prototypes, optimize cost structures, and ensure manufacturability
• Approve prototypes and oversee all aspects of testing, quality, compliance, and packaging
• Ensure projects meet timeline, cost, and quality targets throughout a 4-Stage Gate process (Ideate -- Validate -- Develop -- Commercialize)
• Collaborate closely with marketing on launch tiers and go-to-market strategy (Gold/Silver/etc.)
• Lead portfolio strategy by managing both new product development and existing product improvements
• Identify cost savings, margin enhancements, and line optimization opportunities post-launch

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop, launch, scale, innovative products.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Repair, install and troubleshoot electrical wiring systems, controls, lighting fixtures, kitchen equipment, heating systems, power stations, vehicles and ride equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical apparatus.
• Install or modify electrical systems and components.
• Update drawings and schematic diagrams and assist in the selection of electrical components and material.
• Assist with Park Operation responsibilities as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• High School Diploma or GED with a Trade School certification or currently in a trade program.
• Must be able to perform, or be willing to learn, the following:
  • Troubleshoot various electrical problems on rides, controls, and electrical equipment.
  • Install and bend all types of piping systems.
  • Work from schematic wiring diagrams.
  • Use testing instruments related to electrical work.
• Must be familiar with current electrical codes.
• Must provide hand tools for daily use.
• Must be able to climb and work at various heights and some heavy lifting may be required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• This is a full-time position and the candidate must be willing to work varied shifts and flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

To coordinate all technical and guest aspects of a live entertainment production. The pay for the position is $17.50 an hour. This is an internship opportunity for current individuals that are in an undergraduation program or a recent graduate.

• Work as a member of the area as needed.

• Navigate in, on, or around scenic elements associated with specific production in potentially dark and restrictive spaces.
• Hold regular crew meetings to deliver park/department information and/or comments from Department Management
• Monitor the performance of your team members.
• Provide coaching, counseling and disciplinary/commendable action as needed to maintain and improve the performance of the crew.
• Complete all departmental and park related paperwork.
• Ensure all shows elements stay well maintained and are executed safely.
• Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedures as outlined in your Seasonal Handbook and the Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
• Work with Entertainment Management to assist and shadow with other aspects within the Entertainment Department.
• Immediately reports any unsafe acts to the Entertainment Management.
• Train new personnel as needed.
• Complete all projects as asked by Entertainment Management.

• Must be able to stand/walk for the length of the shift
• Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
