PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The professional registered nurse Outpatient RN CAP 2 may be an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) for new employees who meet the RN CAP 2 criteria or attained through advancement from RN CAP 1. This position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of patients. This may include delegation of appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff including but not limited to RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians. As a member of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) health care team, this position participates in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
All duties and responsibilities are expected to be performed in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care policy, procedures, standards of nursing practice, state, and federal regulations.
Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses.
Performs ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre – during – post hemodialysis treatment for assigned patients and documents in the patient medical record, makes adjustments or modifications to treatment plan as indicated and notifies Team Leader, Charge Nurse, Supervisor or Physician as needed.
Assesses, collaborates, and documents patient/family’s basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education to patients and family.
Directs and provides, in collaboration with direct and ancillary patient care staff, all aspects of the daily provision of safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients.
Administers medications as prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithm(s), and documents appropriate medical justification and effectiveness.
Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
Serves as a resource, leader, coach, mentor and role model for new and incumbent employees by setting examples of appropriate behavior, work habits and attitudes towards patients, co-workers, supervisors and the company at the facility, and area level.
Ensures correct laboratory collection, processing and shipping procedures are performed and reschedules missed or insufficient laboratory collections.
Identifies expected outcomes, documents, and updates the nursing assessment and plan of care for assigned patients through collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team.
Ensures patient awareness related to transplant and treatment modality options.
Participates in education and quality improvement projects at the facility and area level as directed by Supervisor.
May serve as a Preceptor to new employees.

The Transformer Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of field service projects involving power and distribution transformers. This role includes assembly, installation, testing, inspection, and repair of transformer equipment, often in challenging field environments with extensive travel and non-standard schedules.

The PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse provides specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery. This role involves assessing patient recovery, implementing post-operative care plans, administering treatments, collaborating with the surgical team, and coordinating care for discharging or transporting patients. The PACU RN ensures patient safety and comfort during the critical recovery period, using advanced clinical skills, effective communication, and adherence to professional and regulatory standards.
Essential Work Functions:- Receive and conduct comprehensive assessments of patients transferring from the operating room and assess their post-anesthesia condition
- Monitor and evaluate patient's vital signs, level of consciousness, and recovery from anesthesia
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved post-anesthesia nursing techniques
- Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of recovering patients
- Observe and document patient conditions, treatments, and significant incidents and respond to anesthesia and treatments, notifying the care team of significant changes or adverse reactions
- Respond promptly to emergency situations utilizing PACU nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in the medical records
- Develop and deliver individualized patient and family education plans, including detailed discharge instructions and recovery guidelines
- Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive post-operative care
- Participate in patient handoff communications to ensure continuity of care between OR, PACU, and post-PACU units
- Operate and monitor PACU-specific equipment, such as ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Job Summary and Qualifications
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients served. Cardiac Cath Lab Technologists are able to scrub/assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac studies. He or she is also able to record and monitor these cases and understands the hemodynamic measurements and readings from the valve areas.
What you will do in this role:
Demonstrate the ability to perform contrast media administration according to age/weight specific guidelines.
Demonstrate the ability to set up sterile trays and maintain sterile field, according to hospital protocol.
Scrub and assist interventional physician during interventional procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge of drugs, their actions, side effects and contraindications for administration.
Exhibit the ability to start and maintain IV access.
Accurately follow physician orders, document completion of exam in Meditech, scan documents and verify images in PACS.
What qualifications you will need:
Current license or registry certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or must complete advanced registration (RCIS or RCES from CCI) within 1 year of hire date or current license or registry of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R) .
Strong interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, guests, physicians, and other employees.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.

Qualifications You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education.

Education Substitution for the GL-7 grade level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0), or (3) honor society membership.
Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement.
Or one full year of graduate-level education in a field of study related to law enforcement (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation) from an accredited college or university; OR A Combination of Experience and Education: This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.

Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English.
Border Patrol Agents will be provided training to become proficient with the Spanish language at the Academy.

Duties and Responsibilities
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) you will perform aviation-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States. Typical duties include:
- Conducting air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities related to the interdiction of smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels.
- Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.
- Collecting, refining, and analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence.
- Supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.
Salary and Benefits
Begin your career as an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) and make up to $85,270 to - $110,846 per year based on your qualifications for the GS-11 grade level and possible extra compensation based on your duty location (see below).
Recruitment Incentive:New hires may be eligible to receive a one-time Recruitment Incentive payout of $10,000 after completing Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy (FLETC) (1 year service agreement will need to be completed) (Recruitment Incentive is only available to new Federal employees as described in 5 CFR 575.102. Qualifications
Experience:You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized professional aviation experience performing duties such as:
- Flying as a Pilot-in-Command or sole manipulator in an airplane and helicopter in all environments of flight, including night, poor weather, unfavorable terrain, low altitudes, or speed.
- Evaluating information rapidly and making judicious decisions promptly during in-flight operations.
- Developing strategies and coordinating aircraft and ground assets.
- Using information systems and databases to conduct information surveys, queries, update files and disseminate information.
- Experience may include Operation of an aircraft as Captain, Pilot in Command, Aircraft Commander, First Officer, Certified Flight Instructor, Second in Command, or Co-pilot.
Hiring Minimums:
Certification & Ratings: A current FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with one of the following ratings:
- Dual Rated: Airplane (Single-engine land or multi-engine land) with instrument rating AND Rotorcraft Helicopter with instrument rating.
- Airplane Rated: Airplane (Single-engine land or multi-engine land) with instrument.
- Helicopter Rated: Rotorcraft Helicopter with instrument rating.
- Equivalent military rating of the above at the time of application (eligibility based on military flight experience must provide official orders, forms or logbooks showing their status as a rated military pilot).
Flight Hours: Pilot Enter on Duty minimums are 1500 flight hours; (up to 500 hours can be waived, reducing the pilot enter on duty minimums to 1000 hours.
250 Pilot-in-Command hours; 75 Instrument hours; 75 Night hours (Flight Hour Waiver available, see Required Documents); and 100 Flight hours in the last 12 months This qualification requirement is currently being waived by OPM through August 5, 2025.
FAA Class 2 medical required for assessment dated within the last 12 calendar months; FAA Class 1, FAA Class 2 or Military medical flight clearance dated within the last 12 months qualifies to start the pre-employment process for the AIA position.
Apply at 750 hours total time: Applicants applying at 750 flight hours are required to obtain at least 1,000 flight hours (depending on the number of hours approved for a waiver) at their own expense before being able to attend the 3-part flight assessment. Applicants must still meet 250 Pilot-in-Command, 75 instrument, and 75-night hours (100 flight hours in the last 12 months. This qualification requirement is currently being waived by OPM through August 4, 2026)
UAS Flight Hours:Applicants may include UAS Predator A (MQ-1), Predator B (MQ-9) flight hours and Predator A (MQ-1), Predator B (MQ-9) or predator-based flight hours. These hours may be credited towards satisfying the ""Total flight time"" 1,500 flight hour requirement only. UAS hours do not count towards the 250 flight hours as a Pilot in Command, 75 flight hours Instrument, and 75 flight hours Night. Flight hour logbooks will be required at the time of your Flight Assessment for verification.

Age Requirement: Provisions of Public Laws 93-350 and 100-238 allow the imposition of a maximum age for initial appointment to a primary Law Enforcement Officer position within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In accordance with DHS Management Directive 251-03, the ""day before an individual's 37th birthday"" is the maximum age for original appointment to a position as a primary law enforcement officer within DHS. The age requirement is also necessary to ensure that you are able to complete the 20 years of applicable service for retirement.
NOTE: The Commissioner of CBP has approved a temporary increase in the maximum allowable age to 40 for original placement into an Air Interdiction Agent position.
Age Waiver: Creditable law enforcement officer service -Covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d), or creditable service covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8401(36) (as a Customs and Border Protection Officer) on or after July 6, 2008, may be applied toward the maximum age requirement. This age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving in a federal civilian (not military) law enforcement position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d).
