Job Details Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join the SymmetricDS product team and play a key role in supporting the sales process as a trusted technical advisor.
This individual will bridge the gap between complex data integration technologies and business objectives, ensuring that prospective clients fully understand the value and capabilities of our solutions.
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will collaborate closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to craft tailored technical solutions, deliver engaging product demonstrations, and support customers through all stages of the pre-sales process.
Key Responsibilities Partner with sales representatives to understand client requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
Lead product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical presentations to prospective clients.
Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions that align with organizational offerings.
Prepare and deliver RFP/RFI responses, technical documentation, and solution architecture proposals.
Maintain a deep understanding of the SymmetricDS platform, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to act as a subject matter expert.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and customer success teams to ensure seamless handoffs and consistent clientsatisfaction.
Mentor junior sales engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing and process improvement initiatives.
Support post-sales transition to implementation teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and solution adoption.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
5–8+ years of experience in sales engineering, pre-sales consulting, or solutions architecture.
Strong technical background in databases, data replication, data integration, or data warehousing.
Proven track record of supporting complex enterprise sales cycles.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with Java programming.
Familiarity with Docker for setting up and maintaining containerized environments.
Experience using Canva or similar tools to create and organize pre-sales technical documentation.
