POSITION SUMMARY:
Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient centered care. Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Communicates, as appropriate, the patient’s clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic milieu, with age-specific behavioral management practices. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Coordinator. Qualifications
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have a current Registered Nurse license with the state of Connecticut.
Must be trained in de-escalation techniques, and receive certification within the orientation period of hire.
Must receive RQI certification within three (3) months of hire and maintain clinical competency during employment within this role.
COMPETENCIES:
Must be able to communicate effectively using the English language in both verbal and writing situations.
Must possess basic computer skills.
Must be capable of taking swift and efficient action, including patient restraint when responding to patient emergency codes.

The Case Coordination Department at Hartford Hospital is responsible for the assessment of patient needs for the most appropriate level of care across the continuum. Position Summary:
The primary focus of this position is on facilitating patient throughput. As a Case Coordinator at Hartford Hospital, assigned to a select inpatient population, you will assess patients for appropriate level of care; coordinate their care and services across the care continuum; identify risk factors; facilitate involvement of support services; perform utilization management functions; develop and implement transition planning activities; utilize and document aspects of care in our case management specific computer applications; and collaborate with other health care team members on process and quality improvement initiatives. Job Summary
Our Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space. North 11 is a surgical unit with private rooms, is comprised of Neurosurgical and Trauma patients. There is room for growth and development, as nurses are eventually cross trained into the Center 11 an epilepsy unit. The nurses on North 11 are also Stroke Certified.

Job Summary
B7E and 7E Step Down is a fast-paced, highly collaborative teaching unit serving medical patients suffering from an acute illness or injury, or experiencing an exacerbation of a chronic condition affecting one or more body systems. The unit has a strong respiratory focus but treats the full range of medical diagnoses. Step down serves critical care patients with additional interventions including, but not limited to, cardiac drips, insulin drips, Bipap, and chronic vents.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cardiac Rehab RN supervises medically prescribed exercise therapy appropriate to the patient’s age, medical and emotional/mental status. The RN provides education classes, concentrating on client’s understanding of the cardiovascular system and heart-healthy lifestyle modifications necessary to maintain optimum health. The RN is responsible for orientation of cardiac and pulmonary patients and participating in Quality Improvement and KPIs. Qualifications
- Current Connecticut RN License required within 90 days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association
- One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred, however Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply

Shift Detail: 2-8's, 2-12 hour shifts. Primarily day shift with rotation to evenings and nights as needed. Every 3rd weekend (shifts and/or calls). Weekday overnight call rotation.

Position Description:
The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room. Organizes and administers individualized, professional patient care to patients within the Operating Room. Provides nursing care in accordance with the objectives, policies, procedures and protocols of the hospital and AORN, ASPAN and SGNA standards. Participates in patient teaching; incorporates the needs and behavior of the patient’s specific age/cultural groups in planning and providing care. Participates in quality improvement activities.
The Core Operating Room (OR) provides care to a diverse group of patients across multiple surgical specialties. These specialties include general surgery, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), colorectal, oral maxillofacial, trauma, transplant, vascular access, bariatrics, urology, gynecology, thoracic, and robotics. The Core OR team is also responsible for ensuring 24/7 operating room coverage, offering staff a range of alternative scheduling options. Additionally, there are numerous opportunities for team members to engage in innovation and continued learning with new equipment and procedures.
Qualifications
· Current active CT RN License
· Previous OR experience required (OR Novice nurses, including Graduate Nurses, may apply to the OR Nurse Transition to Practice Program)
· BSN Preferred
· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Independent problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication skills
· CNOR certification preferred
