Role Overview:

The Warehouse Assistant Manager is a hands-on operational leader who supports the day-to-day execution of Steel City Brand’s warehouse operations. Ensuring inventory is accurate, orders ship on time and the warehouse stays organized. This person is part leader, part operator, and part problem-solver — comfortable being on the floor, managing people, and owning details.

Core Responsibilities You Will Own:

Daily Warehouse Execution

• Execute daily fulfillment operations (pick/pack/ship)
• Ensure orders ship accurately, on time, and to brand standards
• Monitor workflow and work proactively with the manager to adjust staffing or priorities
• Restocking Warehouse for next days orders
• Processing returns in a timely manner
• Support execution of elevated packaging standards
• Ensure inserts, packaging materials, and presentation are correct
• Monitor supplies and flag reorders before shortages occur
• Help test and implement new packaging or workflow improvements

Team Support & Leadership

• Help train, onboard, and support warehouse staff
• Act as point-person when manager is unavailable
• Reinforce SOPs, workflows, and expectations on the floor
• Provide feedback on performance, process gaps, and staffing needs
• Keep morale steady during busy seasons

 Inventory Accuracy & Flow

• Assist with receiving inbound inventory and checking counts
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in systems (Shopify / WMS)
• Execute cycle counts and full inventory audits
• Flag discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods immediately
• Help ensure inventory is stored, labeled, and organized correctly
• Assist with getting transfers processed for store locations and shipped out

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is accountable for providing technical support for the assigned processes and equipment to operations. Ensure that processes and equipment meets expectations for performance and operational requirements. Validates that processes meet operational requirements and goals.

Responsibilities

• Be actively engaged with the manufacturing process and operations teams. Participate in the Daily Tier accountability meetings.
• Troubleshoot production process/technical problems in real time to deploy countermeasures. Work closely with the shift supervisor/s, other ME, IE, Lean Expert, Design, R&D, facilities/maintenance, and quality team members to gain cross functional feedback.
• Provide day-to-day technical floor support as a SME (Subject Matter Expert). Investigate and resolve issues which arise during the manufacturing while maintaining or exceeding safety, quality, productivity, and cost goals.
• Utilize various RCA (Root Cause Analysis) tools to correct the problems and prevent it from re-occurring. Analyze data to improve process capability, reduce process variation, and optimize process performance.
• Develop processes to improve the throughput using lean manufacturing methodologies. Lead continuous improvement projects in assigned process areas to reduce waste/scrap and cycle times.
• Design and construct tooling/fixtures for processes or modify existing production equipment as needed. Identify and develop relationship with external suppliers (tool and die shops) to upgrade tooling and fixtures.
• Select and integrate off-the-shelf component and equipment. Able to confirm system's and components' capabilities by designing test methods and procedures. Understanding of the hardware and physical system being controlled is necessary.
• Lead the project implementation by reviewing installation plans, coordinating start-ups, documenting changes, updating procedures, and training operators. Maintain project documentation and assist in creating Operation Manuals
• Assist in product design, material selections, and tooling reviews. Capability to select and integrate off-the-shelf component and equipment. Ownership of the Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for assigned processes.
• Develop standardized Work Instructions and/or procedures for the assigned areas. Lead train the trainer sessions for assigned areas. Ensures production team knows about the proper operation of equipment through training, verification and process audits.
• Provide direction and coordinate efforts and responsibilities for interns and co-ops to best suit the needs of the business.
• Must be able to multitask and handle shifting priorities on short notices.
• Quality Support: Provides support during the customer or regulatory audits, Support ISO Re-implementation related activities, participate in the Change Management initiatives as needed.
• Support the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager in the Strategic Planning of the Short Term (1-3 years) and Long Term (3-5 years) Capital Spending Goals for the site.
• Assist the maintenance team in developing the Critical Spares of various process equipment in their area.
• Provide prompt support to the on-site team during troubleshooting/problem solving in presence or remotely to avoid the unplanned downtime and improve the OEE.
• Support the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager in the interview process of the new recruits and on-boarding the new manufacturing team members in the department.
• Other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned at any time with or without notice

About the Role

The Advanced Manufacturing Manager will lead the Advanced Manufacturing team to drive the development and integration of factory automation, manufacturing tooling and new technology to deliver results to achieve strategic goals to support manufacturing growth. This role will oversee the technical aspects of large-scale projects while leading a team of advanced manufacturing, controls, robotics and tooling engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing advanced manufacturing team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
• Develop automation strategies that align with business long range strategic planning.
• Lead the design and execution of advanced manufacturing strategies to sustainably enhance productivity, reduce cost, and improve consistency of product quality leveraging leading edge industry 4.0 technology
• Participate in the assessment of integrator/supplier technical and commercial capabilities.
• Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, and engineering to identify and address systemic causes, implementing lasting solutions in processes and tools to prevent the recurrence of development issues.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and best practices for advanced process development, tool development, and knowledge transfer to manufacturing.
• Develop preferred methods/manufacturing systems in conjunction with manufacturing stakeholders.
• Collaborate with manufacturing plants and functions to align business objectives
• Own manufacturing technical readiness as a critical member of advanced manufacturing, with specific emphasis on manufacturing producibility, cost effectiveness, process repeatability; negotiate conflicting requirements, identify lessons-learned and DFM/DFA/DFSS opportunities and share/escalate to upstream product design engineers, supply chain and downstream manufacturing engineers.
• Manage the release of new equipment/process into manufacturing; drive manufacturing readiness; secure production at scale capacity, throughput, yield, and process capability before release to sustaining teams in the factory.
• Lead projects and technical teams from concept through deployment, ensuring performance requirements, timely delivery and ROI.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial) or similar discipline required
• Minimum 10 years of applied professional experience leading and facilitating engineering initiatives in a manufacturing environment required, advanced manufacturing experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years of people management experience
• Demonstrated business acumen with an ability to understand and identify improvement opportunities that will provide financial benefit to the business
• Experience designing and deploying various automation and Industry 4.0 technologies
• Robotics experience, Fanuc preferred
• Plastic welding experience preferred
• A strong understanding of digital technologies, data analysis skills, agility and adaptability, a collaborative and team-oriented approach, fostering innovation.

The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will work with internal stakeholders and outside contractors to execute projects to support manufacturing scale up. This will require managing medium to large scale projects from concept, through capital funding planning and approval, and ultimately through successful implementation of automation and facility projects to meet the goals of the business.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with suppliers, outside contractors and stakeholders and recommend development of best practices to improve assembly/manufacturing methods and procedures.
• Impacts the achievement of part design related to design for assembly/manufacturing, error proofing, fixture design, and incorporating quality monitoring and improvement measures to drive results.
• Works independently and as part of a team on complex projects.
• Collaborate with partner groups in development and review of manufacturing process for new products, design changes, or new manufacturing methods.
• Recommend, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve efficiency or enhance flexibility of manufacturing operations with a focus on launch site capability.
• Partner with leadership, operations and engineering teams to ensure that new equipment projects align with the manufacturing strategy and build plans.
• Be accountable to deliver operability, reliability, and functional integrity of automated manufacturing equipment for handover to operations.
• Lead facility expansion efforts to support scaling of manufacturing sites, new and existing.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
• Minimum of 10 years' experience
• Experience and understanding of complex automated manufacturing systems and components (electrical and pneumatic control, PLC and HMI devices, sensors, servo motors, vision systems, and robotics)
• Good understanding of supporting processes associated with the operations and maintenance of a production plant.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering and plant operations with direct experience in automated production processes, equipment support, and manufacturing best practices.
• Proficiency in use of AutoCAD
