Job Summary: Under the direct supervisor for the delivery of care with the Primary Care Physician and/or Medical Director, applies advanced knowledge/clinical skills necessary to assess/manage the healthcare of chronically ill geriatric Participants in the Mountain View Pace program. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with Clinic Nurse Manager for operational and documentation issues including but not limited to scheduling, charting, internal procedural direction, and other daily operational issues that do not conflict with the practice within his/her scope, as defined by the state laws or physician limitations or directives.
• Performs health histories, physical exams, and patient teaching. Orders, interprets, and follows up on lab tests and results.
• Initiates emergency measures as necessary. Recognizes abnormalities that justify immediate referral for intervention by others.
• Assesses, initiates, and coordinates patient care daily under the supervision of the attending physician.
• Acts as liaison with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals within the program, providing education, communication, and support for healthcare staff, patients, and families.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Position Details: Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Start Date: October 31, 2024 End Date: Ongoing, with coverage extending into 2025 Location: Near Grethel, KY Call Schedule: Beeper call 24-hour shifts Call ratio: 1:2 Expected callbacks: 3-5 per 24-hour shift Call response time: 20 minutes Patients per Shift: Approximately 8, including 5 admissions Deliveries per Year: 450, with high and low-risk pregnancy care Clinical Environment: Practice Setting: Inpatient only Bed Capacity: 20 in OB/GYN department NICU Level: 2 Rounding: Required Support Staff: Includes registered nurses (RN) on-call Technology: EMR system: MediTech Skills and Procedures Required: Routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and breech presentations Fetal heart rate (FHR) interpretation OB ultrasound performance and interpretation Management of both low and high-risk pregnancies Surgical gynecology: minor and major operative procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries Credentials & Certifications: Board Eligibility: Required (Certification is a plus but not mandatory) BLS and PALS: Required Temporary Privileges: Available for fast onboarding Estimated Credentialing Time: 45 days Perks: Travel and Lodging: Covered by the vendor Insurance: Provided during the assignment Ongoing Need: Secure opportunities for future coverage throughout 2025 This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive team and make a difference in the community while enjoying the flexibility of a locum role.
