What You'll Do:

- Models exemplary family engagement practices for other Advocates, including but not limited to an ability to demonstrate and execute Acelero Learning's family engagement approach and strategies.

- Provides peer mentoring and/or informal coaching to other Advocates on Acelero Learning's family engagement approach and strategies.

- Facilitates capacity-building and learning transfer activities with colleagues.

- Provides additional, targeted support to assigned staff and/or centers for the planning of major events (i.e. Family Orientation, Recruitment Fairs, Back to School nights, SOF events, world cafes, health fairs, and health screening days).

- Joins pilot projects to test and innovate our family engagement approach, as requested.

- Participates in the onboarding of new staff.

- Co-Facilitates the execution of small group strategies with Advocates and families that build social capital (i.e. family self-sufficiency, family engagement, families experiencing similar concerns or challenges, and children's health and well-being).

- Cultivates community partnerships with external organizations to enhance relationships and identify collaborations for on-site family engagement/support workshops, including meeting regularly with such organizations, serving on committees or advisory boards, and/or attending the organizations' relevant community events.

- Observes and provides feedback on FEN Meetings and Family Learning Parties; supports colleagues to plan meetings as needed/assigned.

- Provides support/consultation to teachers regarding planning and implementing programs and services.

- Supports Family Services and Health leadership to monitor and troubleshoot programs and services, including direct work with the center-level staff as appropriate.

- Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.

What You'll Bring:

1. AA or BA Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Counseling or a related field OR AA or BA in another field with a completed Family Development Certification.

2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in community-based organizations or schools in diverse low-income communities.

3. Experience working with families of children 0-5 preferred.

4. Flexible work schedule that may include some evenings and weekends required.

5. Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

6. Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.

7. Must have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.

Work Environment

Training & Advancement

Those pursuing a Chaplain position are required to attend Officer Development School (ODS) in Newport, RI. Upon completion, they attend a seven-week course at the Naval Chaplaincy School and Center, also in Newport, RI.

Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.

Post-Service Opportunities

Qualifications & Requirements

A candidate seeking to serve as a Navy Chaplain and Officer must:

Have a bachelor's degree from a qualified four-year undergraduate educational institution
Have a graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution. (Note that a qualifying degree program requires no fewer than 72 semester hours or 108 quarter hours of graduate-level work. Related studies may include graduate courses in pastoral counseling, social work, religious administration and similar disciplines when one-half of the earned credits include topics in general religion, world religions, the practice of religion, theology, religious philosophy, religious ethics and/or the foundational writings from the applicant's religious tradition.)
Have two years of full-time religious leadership experience that's compatible with the duties of a Religious Ministry Professional (RMP) in their respective Religious Organizations (RO) and relevant to the settings of military chaplaincy
Must be able to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of War

Part-Time Opportunities

Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Chaplain, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Chaplains in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes. This gives you the flexibility to minister in the Navy while maintaining responsibilities to your congregation at home.

For Annual Training, Chaplains may serve anywhere in the world, alongside the Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen to whom they minister.

Most of what you do in the Navy Reserve is considered training. The basic Navy Reserve commitment involves training a minimum of one weekend a month (referred to as drilling) and two weeks a year (referred to as Annual Training) - or the equivalent of that.

For current or former Navy Officers (NAVET):

Officer Candidates will be required to attend the Officer Development School (ODS) in Newport, RI. The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Data Center Infrastructure) is a technical leader responsible for the architecture, integration, and validation of advanced mechanical systems supporting hyperscale data center environments. This role requires deep expertise in liquid cooling technologies (single-phase and two-phase), hydronic system design, structural integration, and manufacturable rack-level infrastructure solutions.

This role is responsible for defining system performance requirements, developing technical specifications, selection and integration of critical components, and leading mechanical design from concept through production release. Responsibilities include wetted material selection, thermal and structural analysis, fastening strategies, component layout, and design for manufacturability. Partners cross-functionally to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective Data Center Infrastructure solutions while advancing innovation in liquid cooling performance.

What will you do?

- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and engineering of hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) systems, including liquid-cooled rack assemblies, CDUs, manifolds, enclosures, structural frames, and associated hydronic piping systems.

- Serve as the technical authority for single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling architectures, including primary and secondary loop design, in-rack distribution, and system integration within hyperscale data center environments.

- Define and validate operational performance requirements for liquid-cooled infrastructure, including pressure ratings, hydrostatic limits, temperature ranges, flow rates and uniformity, thermal expansion, durability, and serviceability.

- Design, analyze, and validate machined components, welded fabrications, manifolds, and structural systems using advanced engineering principles, including stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), flow modeling, and structural load calculations to ensure mechanical integrity and code compliance.

- Lead wetted material selection and compatibility analysis for liquid cooling systems, including corrosion mitigation strategies, surface treatments, cleanliness standards, and long-term durability considerations.

- Develop and review CAD models and complete technical data packages using CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools; ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and system-level integration.

- Author and approve technical specifications for piping systems, rack-level cooling infrastructure, and hydronic components, including installation guidelines, maintenance procedures, testing requirements, and compliance with applicable standards (ASME, ISO).

- Establish and oversee validation protocols including hydrostatic pressure testing, leak detection and mitigation, flow resistance analysis, and corrosion verification to ensure regulatory compliance and operational reliability.

- Evaluate customer design proposals and technical specifications to assess feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and risk; provide recommendations to optimize performance and total cost of ownership.

- Lead cross-functional design reviews with electrical, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure full system integration and compliance with product specifications and applicable plumbing and hydronic codes.

- Optimize rack manifold design and manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, surface finishing, connection interfaces, venting and draining strategies, and flow path optimization to enhance performance and manufacturability.

- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing assembly methods and tooling in collaboration with production teams and equipment vendors to improve quality, scalability, and cost efficiency.

- Lead root cause investigations for complex mechanical failures identified during validation or field deployment and implement corrective design improvements.

- Provide technical leadership in vendor qualification and management for mechanical components and liquid cooling subsystems.

- Identify and mitigate technical risks impacting performance, schedule, or cost, and contribute to R&D initiatives advancing liquid cooling technologies and system innovation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: 

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university.

Experience: 

- 8 years' experience in mechanical design and integration of mission-critical systems.

- Proven track record of successful system designs and implementations in a relevant industry

- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, integration strategy, and system coordination

- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to Energy Storage Systems and Data Center Infrastructure is preferred.
