About You
The responsibilities of an Asset Protection Investigator encompass the protection of assets for Wakefern Food Corp. and any affiliation such as a 3rd party warehouse, vendors, contractors and all associates conducting business for or with the company. This includes but is not limited to safety accidents and injuries, violence in the workplace issues, fire protection, power failures, severe storm damage, loss of product through theft, grazing or damage from any means. This role also conducts investigations into misappropriation of product or services. This position is located in Keasbey, NJ.
What You’ll Do
- Monitors the entire guard staff to ensure proper perimeter security is maintained
- Checks the alarm system to maintain proper internal and external security
- Oversees the proper entrance and exit of vehicles and pedestrian traffic onto our compounds
- Interacts with all levels of management and union membership for the achievement of mutual goals
- Inspects all assigned guard posts and ensures that all guards are in proper uniform, the manpower is at its required numbers and that each post has an inventory of all paperwork needed to function accordingly.
- Responds to all alarm activations and determines the cause and proper approach to the re-setting of the alarm.
- Oversees the daily operation of the CCTV operator and witnesses that all log books and paperwork are kept in accordance with divisional policy.
- Responsible for the making and issuing of keys to authorized personnel and the making and installation of cores.
- Responsible for the issuing of all trailer seals for store deliveries, back-hauls and shuttles from the various warehouse facilities, all gate and tractor trailer release passes, as well as time stamps and receiving stickers.
- Maintains that the fencing and lighting conditions at all facilities are always in good condition.
- Maintains that all asset protection emergency equipment is kept in a state of preparedness to meet any given situation.
- Checks the outer and inner perimeters of all Wakefern buildings to ensure that proper physical security is maintained.
- Coordinates with all Wakefern Divisions the orderly arrival and departure of sales representatives, outside vendors, service personnel and store pickups at any facility.
- Familiarizes themselves with the shipping and receiving procedures with all product divisions in order to have the ability to detect any apparent wrong-doing by an employee or vendor.
- Gathers intelligence and information concerning the theft and/or misuse of Wakefern property by training in specific security interviewing skills programs, (e.g., Wicklander & Zulawski or Reid).
- Has the responsibility to keep themselves informed about the activity in all of Wakefern’s facilities because of the cross-training required.
- Monitors the activity of casual unloaders on and off the compound.
- Prepares all apprehensions for court or arbitration process.
- Required to be knowledgeable about the organization, its principal personnel and its day-to-day operation.
- Required to be knowledgeable in the areas of fire training, first-aid (must be minimum First Responder), AED and CPR certified with EMT offered as additional training on a voluntary basis. In areas of warehouse safety, must be OSHA trained (10-hour General Safety and Construction Safety), as well as obtaining the National Safety Council Advanced Safety Certificate.
- Responsible to interview any representative of any Federal, State or Local Agency before entrance to the Compound is given.
- Supervises of the snow removal operation when a snow emergency is declared. Must be proficient in the use of plows, front-end loaders and snow blowers, along with the maintenance and troubleshooting of same.
- Issuance of the card access and maintains the integrity of the system.
- Oversees the work performance of asset protection vendors, i.e., alarm, guard and camera companies, and maintains proper records.
- Audits of inbound and outbound loads, which include, but at not limited to, all store deliveries, all export deliveries, all full inbound vendor deliveries, all L.T.L (less than trailer loads) of vendor deliveries.
- Must be knowledgeable concerning the company’s substance abuse policy and how it relates to the affiliated and non-affiliated staff at all facilities.
- Must be knowledgeable in the administration and follow-up of all fire/safety-related issues at all our facilities through routine inspections and mock-OSHA inspections.
- Must be knowledgeable in the proper method of investigating all accidents relating to personal injury or property damage, ensuring that all documentation of related facts has been logged in and filed away for possible future litigation.
- Must be knowledgeable in HAZCOM and the appropriate resolution of hazardous material spills, along with proper notification and documentation of same.
- Must be trained in non-violent crisis intervention for workplace violence.
- Must be knowledgeable in Shipping & Store Delivery Procedures appropriate to the resolution of store shortage investigations.
What We Are Looking For
- Two Year Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice is required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in compound supervision, a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license. Flexibility with regard to rotating work schedule including weekends and holidays in various NJ facilities.
- An asset protection investigator is present onsite, 24/7, regardless of whether the company is open for business. It is their responsibility, while on duty, to respond within a moment’s notice to any situation, to quickly assess same for cause and to take action as required.
- An asset investigator must have strong judgment skills, using these skills and knowledge to act in the best interests of safety and the well-being of the associates, as well as protecting the assets of the company.
- Because of their unique scheduling needs, investigators must be flexible, understanding that their duties deal strongly with emergency situations and they will have to work until the situation is resolved.
- Must possess strong leadership skills to take control of emergency situations, in the absence of management, and sometimes handle 2 or 3 crisis situations at the same time, using decision-making skills to prioritize the seriousness of each issue.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Security background in investigations and surveillance highly desirable
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of customer service, confidentiality
- Ability to interface with all levels of Wakefern / ShopRite Associates
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $72,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.

The Safety, Security, and Risk Management Manager for Savino Del Bene – USA is responsible for overseeing workplace safety, security operations, investigations, risk management, and insurance-related activities. This role directs security operations, and OSHA compliance focusing on protecting personnel, property, and assets. This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and partners closely with local branches to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant operating environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety, security and loss prevention strategies to reduce shrinkage and risk. Oversee safety programs, OSHA compliance, fire prevention, and emergency response planning.
- Manage facility security operations, including video surveillance, access control, and alarm monitoring. Point of contact for alarm companies, fire, police, and emergency services and insurance inspectors.

MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship

Customs and Border Protection (CBP), is hiring immediately for these full-time, entry-level , career Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) opportunities.
Salary and Benefits Annual Base Salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade, as follows: GL-5/GL-7 $49,739
- $89,518 per year Duty location impacts pay rates; locality pay for federal law enforcement is higher in some locations than others.
A fully trained BPA may be eligible for up to an additional 25% of base pay per the BPA Pay Reform Act of 2014.
This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GL-5, GL-7, GL-9, GS-11, and GS-12.

Duties and Responsibilities As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000 workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation’s economic prosperity.
Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.
Typical assignments include: Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off-road vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles for the accomplishment of the USBP Mission.
Qualifications You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education.

Education Substitution for the GL-7 grade level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0), or (3) honor society membership.
Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement.
Or one full year of graduate-level education in a field of study related to law enforcement (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation) from an accredited college or university; OR A Combination of Experience and Education: This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.

Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English.
Border Patrol Agents will be provided training to become proficient with the Spanish language at the Academy.
