JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Pediatrics RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide care for infants, children, and adolescents with an age range of 0-17 years. Care is provided to patients with a variety of medical-surgical diagnosis. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:

· Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process to infants, children, and adolescents.

· Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.

· Measure patient’s vital signs, such as blood pressure, breathing and heart rate, and initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology.

· Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.

· Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments.

· Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.

· Provide education, information, and support to the patient’s family.

Job Requirements:

· Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required, Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred

· Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required

· BLS-American Heart Association BLS Provider issued card required

· ACLS-American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required

· PALS-American Heart Association PALS Provider issued card required

· 2 Years acute care pediatrics experience preferred

POSITION SUMMARY
The Mental Health Professional will be involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be a Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can assess and make treatment decisions and provide Mental Health treatment including LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs administrative consults for specialized social services as determined by the specific needs of the Institution.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performs specific psychiatric social service work on the Behavioral Health Unit of a Juvenile Detention Facility.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. May direct special projects as requested.
• The Licensed Mental Health Counselor participates in and conducts in-service programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff and provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
