Be the Regional Chief Nursing Officer you've always aspired to be

• Solicits and receives feedback from local CNOs regarding the quality of care and outcomes.
• Creates a positive impact on productivity, costs, quality and timely delivery of services.
• Reviews and monitors hospitals' critical numbers and takes actions to reverse negative trends.
• Ensures CNOs adhere to the requirements of The Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance.
• Serves on and supports the nursing advisory board.
• Consults and assists other hospitals in need within the region.
• Provides information and clinical perspective on various nursing responsibilities.
• Supports the Regional Team and serves as a resource to the SVP, the region's CEOs, and CNOs.
• Communicates with local CNOs on documentation forms and standards, outcomes and best practices.
• Trains and assists new CNOs in his/her orientation and on boarding.
• Provides leadership to nursing teams to identify new nursing issues and concerns.
• Celebrate the achievements of your staff and patients along the way.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure appropriate to state regulations.
• BLS certification ACLS preferred.
• CRRN certification preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field required, or another appropriate degree, unless higher degree required by state.
• Five years experience in inpatient hospital setting.
• Two years Nursing Management experience with responsibilities including such as 24 hour accountability, FTE management, policy, procedure, and budgetary oversight, and conducting disciplinary action.
• Equivalent professional experience commensurate with a Master's degree.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Director of Nursing/CNO or equivalent role in an acute care or rehab setting.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse with our facility, you’ll perform a variety of duties that provide optimal patient care to our residents. Typical job duties and tasks of our LPN Charge Nurses include:

1. Taking a patient’s temperature, blood pressure, and other vital statistics
2. Completing basic patient care tasks, such as changing a bandage or inserting a catheter
3. Observing the patient for changes in their health, mood, and behavior, and subsequently reporting any concerns to an RN Unit Manager or the Physician on duty
4. Listening to a patient as they tell you about their family
5. Preparing patients for their care, describing procedures ordered by their physicians, and listening to any concerns or grievances they have
6. Administering medication to patients as prescribed by their physicians
7. Providing patients with immunizations
8. Working with or mentoring CNA’s or NA’s to provide optimal care to our patients

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing and meets all applicable Federal and State licensure requirements
2. Basic nursing competency skills
3. Experience with electronic medical records and documentation
4. Graduate of accredited school of licensed practical nursing

2. Receives physicians' instructions regarding resident care and ensures that orders are transmitted to other units as needed.
3. Oversees delegation of simple nursing and other therapeutic procedures to other level professionals and paraprofessional associates.
4. Makes regular patient rounds to observe and assess residents’ physical conditions and behaviors, evaluates the quality of care provided, and ensures proper documentation of treatment and nursing observations.

Qualifications:

1. Current R.N. license by State required with experience in the long term care or working with the geriatric population preferred.
2. Must have at least three years nursing experience and one year supervisory experience.
3. Clerical ability is necessary to read reports and utilize data accurately for other purposes.
4. Skill in organizing and planning programs and managing personnel to provide nursing service for residents.
5. Ability to plan and direct the department, coordinating with other departments.
