What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle from case inception through trial and appeal
• Prepare and file documents in federal and state courts, including managing e-filings and court deadlines
• Draft routine legal filings such as motions, notices, subpoenas, and related court documents
• Organize and manage case files, discovery materials, and document productions
• Assist with deposition preparation, trial exhibits, and litigation databases
• Conduct legal research and case retrieval through tools such as Lexis and Westlaw
• Provide trial support including courtroom technology setup and presentation coordination

What You’ll Need to Be Considered:

• Paralegal certificate
• 3+ years of experience supporting complex commercial litigation matters
• Ability to travel occasionally in support of trial preparation
• Exposure to personal injury defense or construction-related litigation (plus)
• Familiarity with eDiscovery workflows and document analysis (plus)
• Experience using Relativity for litigation document management (plus)

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Attorney at Blue Williams' Houston, TX office. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing legal cases involving motions, handling depositions, representing clients in court proceedings, and preparing for trials. The role also involves providing expert legal research, drafting legal documents, and ensuring meticulous case management from inception through resolution.

• Proficiency in litigation, including handling motions and managing legal research
• Experience in court proceedings, including trials and client representation
• Competence in conducting and managing depositions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Capture billable hours daily
• Licensed to practice law in Texas, with good standing in the state bar

The Role

We're looking for a driven plaintiff personal injury attorney to represent seriously injured clients from investigation through trial across a broad docket: auto and truck accidents, workplace and non-subscriber injuries, oilfield and maritime cases, premises liability, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death.

What We're Looking For

• Texas bar license (required)
• 2+ years of plaintiff PI litigation experience
• Casualty, wrongful death, trucking, oilfield, industrial and maritime experience is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

• Support attorneys with regulatory‑related litigation, claims matters, incident documentation, and investigations
• Conduct factual research and prepare summaries, timelines, and supporting materials
• Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and matter‑specific milestones
• Assist with preparation for hearings, mediations, depositions, arbitrations, and settlement discussions
• Serve as a liaison between the legal team, internal departments, outside counsel, and third‑party vendors
• Help oversee document management processes to ensure compliance with company standards
  
  

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred
• 4-10 years of litigation experience
• Familiarity with state and federal litigation procedures
• Experience with e‑discovery tools and document management systems
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities
