The Role
TRADEMARK is seeking a Creative Director to lead the development of bold experiential concepts that help define and win new business opportunities.
You will partner closely with the VP of Growth and executive leadership during the earliest stages of opportunity development, shaping creative vision and translating strategy, narrative, and spatial thinking into compelling experiential brand systems.
This is a strategic and highly visible leadership role. You will join leadership in pitching new business, presenting creative direction to clients, and guiding multidisciplinary teams toward cohesive experiential solutions.
Beyond the pitch phase, you will remain engaged as projects move into production, partnering with designers and producers to ensure the original creative vision carries through to execution.
You will also contribute to the evolution of TRADEMARK’s brand and creative point of view across agency marketing and storytelling.
This role begins as a contract engagement with the intention of evolving into a full-time Creative Director position as the partnership and business needs grow.
What You’ll Do
Creative Leadership & Vision
- Define and lead the creative vision for experiential concepts that translate client objectives into immersive brand experiences
- Develop clear visual narratives and storytelling frameworks that elevate proposals, presentations, and pitch materials
- Guide creative direction across spatial design, environmental graphics, brand systems, and audience journeys
- Ensure concepts balance innovation with feasibility, aligning bold ideas with production realities, budgets, and operational constraints
- Raise the creative bar across TRADEMARK’s work by setting a high standard for design excellence and experiential storytelling
- Serve as a creative leader within the agency, helping shape the evolution of TRADEMARK’s experiential point of view and creative standards
New Business & Strategic Partnership
- Partner directly with the VP of Growth to shape creative strategy during early-stage opportunity development
- Lead creative development for RFP responses, proposals, and new business pitches
- Translate client objectives and revenue strategy into compelling experiential concepts that strengthen TRADEMARK’s ability to win new business
- Join leadership in client presentations, articulating creative vision and rationale with clarity and authority
- Elevate the sophistication of proposals, concept decks, and experiential storytelling throughout the RFP process
Cross-Functional Creative Direction
- Lead collaboration across graphic designers, 3D designers, producers, and fabrication partners to ensure cohesive creative execution
- Provide clear and thoughtful direction that elevates the work of multidisciplinary teams
- Guide concept development from early ideation through presentation and refinement
- Ensure alignment between creative vision and production execution across every stage of the experience
- Champion the creative vision throughout the full project lifecycle, remaining actively engaged with production teams as concepts evolve into real-world environments
- Participate in key creative reviews, design revisions, and milestone presentations during production to ensure the final experience reflects the original concept and strategic intent
Experiential Brand Design
- Lead the development of immersive brand identities for events, conferences, activations, and spatial experiences
- Oversee the creation of renderings, mockups, and presentation materials that communicate both aspiration and feasibility
- Ensure experiential concepts translate successfully into real-world environments, considering materials, scale, fabrication, and operational logistics
Brand Stewardship & Creative Systems
- Maintain and evolve TRADEMARK’s brand identity across proposals, marketing materials, digital presence, and internal assets
- Build scalable creative frameworks and templates that support a growing organization
- Stay ahead of experiential design trends, fabrication innovations, and emerging creative technologies that enhance audience engagement
- Partner with leadership to evolve TRADEMARK’s brand presence and creative narrative, contributing to agency marketing, storytelling, and thought leadership that reflects the sophistication of the work
Who You Are
- 10+ years of experience in experiential design, brand design, or creative leadership within an agency, event production, or experiential marketing environment
- A proven creative leader who has shaped and delivered large-scale experiential programs, conferences, or brand activations
- Demonstrated success leading creative development for new business opportunities, including pitching concepts and presenting creative rationale to clients
- Deep understanding of spatial storytelling, environmental graphics, fabrication processes, and live event production
- Experience working in early-stage project environments, defining creative direction from initial concept through execution
- A confident communicator who can present creative ideas clearly and persuasively to executives and clients
- Experienced leading multidisciplinary teams of designers and collaborating closely with producers, strategists, and fabrication partners
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with familiarity across 3D workflows and experiential visualization tools
- A strong strategic thinker with a portfolio that demonstrates refined visual taste, concept development, and real-world experiential execution
Success in This Role
Success in this role means elevating the creative ambition and clarity of TRADEMARK’s experiential concepts while helping the agency win and expand client partnerships.

- Raise the overall creative sophistication of proposals, concept decks, and experiential storytelling
- Balance visionary ideas with real-world production considerations, including materials, fabrication, scale, timelines, and budgets
- Ensure the original creative vision carries through from concept to execution by partnering with production teams during planning, revisions, and key creative milestones
- Help position TRADEMARK as a trusted creative partner to clients by delivering thoughtful, memorable, and strategically grounded experiential concepts
- Contribute to the evolution of TRADEMARK’s creative reputation by elevating the agency’s design standards, storytelling, and experiential point of view
Compensation
This role is structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity, beginning as a project-based contract engagement paid through payroll.
The anticipated salary range for the full-time role is $175,000–$325,000 annually, depending on experience, portfolio, and scope of work.
Hourly compensation during the contract phase will be set based on experience and aligned with the full-time salary range.
