Pride Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to join a team in Oxnard, CA. This position is ideal for a dynamic healthcare professional with a strong background in first aid, emergency medical response, and workplace wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide first aid support for occupational and non-occupational injuries.

· Minimize injury risk through education and proactive engagement with associates.

· Maintain and document all medical records of care provided.

· Oversee the workers' compensation program and manage return-to-work processes.

· Submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.

· Engage with associates on the operations floor, providing coaching on safe work habits and at-risk behaviors.

· Maintain a clean medical environment and ensure medical supplies are well-stocked.

· Participate in First Aid, CPR, and AED training and maintain certifications.

· Assist with drug testing protocols and emergency care delivery.

Qualifications:

Required:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

· One of the following:

· EMT or Paramedic Certification from the Department of Health or NREMT.

· Six months job experience in the Military as a Combat Medic, Field Medic, or similar.

· Active Athletic Trainer Certification from BOC or state certification.

Preferred:

· Certified to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

· Experience with industrial wellness programs, musculoskeletal disorders, and ergonomics.

· Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Workers' Compensation procedures.

· Skilled in digital record keeping.

Shift Schedule: Wed-Sat 6 pm - 4:30 am

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• The physician serves for skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and participates in administrative and quality initiatives for the facilities he or she is responsible for;
• The physician participates in quality improvement initiatives; providing guidance to facility staff; reviewing and revising (if necessary) facility's clinical guidelines; insuring compliance with state and federal regulations, training facility staff; and supervising facility clinical staff.
• The physician also serves as the attending physician for the residents residing at each facility;
• The physician collaborates with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day to day resident care at each facility. Typically, each facility will have a full-time PA or NP assigned to the facility depending on the acuity and volume of the patient population;
• Physician will provide high quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services by rounding on patients residing in SNFs;
• Physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with acute illness, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes
• Physician must be able to supervise collaborating nurse practitioners and physicians assistants

Compensation

• Compensation ranges approximately from $1,200.00 - $1,300.00 (Part-Time) including Medical Director stipend

• Experience with managed care and EHR systems
• Experience in patient care and hospital environments
