Talkiatry is a clinician-led, virtual psychiatry practice built to combine the stability of a hospital practice with the clinical autonomy of private practice.  
This role is designed for psychiatrists who want:

What your day-to-day practice looks like:

Providers consist of Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellows, Critical Care Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants, and Critical Care Physicians from the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care. 
 

The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The RN will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice provide a basis for the practice of the RN. The RN provides leadership through activities such as preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. Location: Mayo Building - PHIDOM (Public Health, Infectious Diseases, and Occupational Medicine) RN

Registered nurses hired to this area will be cross trained to multiple programs within PHIDOM. Some telework may be available depending on practice needs.   • Pilots, divers, and drivers needing medical certification
  • Physicians with complex medical conditions
  • Patients referred from specialty clinics requiring immunizations and audiograms

  • Workers Compensation referrals
  • Employees with complex injuries and medical conditions
  • Monitoring Infectious Disease patients following dismissal from the hospital by managing and addressing lab/culture results and protecting patient safety post-dismissal.

  • Providing adult and pediatric patients with education and immunizations. Excellent communication, assessment and patient education skills are required.

Compensation:

$130,000 - $180,000+ at plan commission

Responsibilities:
  • Meet with prospective and existing customers to assess insurance needs
  • Analyze coverage options and provide customized recommendations
  • Manage policy renewals and retention strategies
  • Guide customers through claims processes, including in-person visits as needed
  • Maintain accurate customer and business records
  • Collaborate with underwriting to ensure proper risk assessment
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies (social media, referrals, community outreach, phone prospecting)
  • Stay current on industry regulations and product offerings

  • Manage daily office operations and support staff as applicable


Qualifications:
  • Active Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health insurance license (required)
  • 2+ years of insurance sales experience preferred

The Transplant Coordinator Nurse is accountable for the coordination of all aspects of care for the transplant patient population. Assesses and plans in collaboration with the patient, caregiver, and multidisciplinary healthcare team to meet needs across the care continuum. Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interprets information relative to the patient's age-specific needs. Provides patient and family education on a consistent basis.
