What We’re Looking For
DC Construction Associates of Central Florida is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Daytona Beach to oversee multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, supporting field teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and is driven to grow within a results-oriented team.
Key Responsibilities
Preconstruction & Planning
- Participate in preconstruction activities including budgeting, scope review, and value engineering
- Develop and maintain project schedules from start through completion
- Identify potential design deficiencies and coordinate solutions
Project Management & Execution
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and contract requirements are met
- Oversee procurement of subcontractors, materials, and equipment
- Review and process shop drawings and submittals
- Monitor job progress through site visits, meetings, and coordination with field teams
Financial & Cost Control
- Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting
- Review and process subcontractor invoices
- Prepare and submit monthly client billings
- Handle change orders, negotiations, and claims as needed
Coordination & Communication
- Provide direction and support to field superintendents
- Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Quality, Safety & Closeout
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications
- Support safety and loss prevention efforts on all job sites
- Oversee inspections and ensure compliance with all requirements
- Manage project closeout, including documentation and final deliverables
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout Central and North Florida
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams
