JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a Full-time Doctoral Psychologist to Provide Psychology services to patients, ages twelve to adult, including evaluation and assessment, treatment, education, and consultation to improve clients’ abilities to their highest feasible level. The psychologist provides services as part of a care team assembled to assure optimal customer service, and clinical and financial outcomes, under the direction of Essentia Health service line management and the referring physician.
The Essentia Health Psychology department provides integrated psychological care and serves as a resource across medical specialties to promote positive patient outcomes from an empirically based wellness approach.
The caseload covers a wide variety of medical diagnosis including, but not limited to chronic pain, migraines, insomnia, obesity, irritable bowel syndrome, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurological conditions.
Services the Health Psychology Department currently provides:
- This is a full-time position
- Evaluation and treatment of the psychological adjustment and coping with medical conditions and associated mental health symptoms
- Depression and anxiety with a mind/body approach
- Cognitive Behavior Therapy
- Trauma based care, EMDR
- Biofeedback assisted treatment

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)
- Ph.D., Psy.D in Psychology, current Minnesota license

We are looking for a patient-centered Endocrinologist to join our team of 5 Physicians (including 1 Pediatric Endocrinologist), 5 NP/PAs and 18 additional staff.
Great position for work/life balance.
Call: rotation including weekends; coverage includes inpatient diabetes care. We will openly discuss this as part of the interview process.
Inpatient coverage at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center, a 344-bed tertiary care hospital, Level I Adult Trauma Center -or- Essentia Health-Duluth, a 165-bed hospital – both located on the same connected campus.
Call is in effect for providers during office business hours only and triaged through our RN team first. An NP/PA team covers all hospital glucose management.
Capability to apply and analyze latest diabetes related devices including pumps, sensors, and meters.
Primarily outpatient practice: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Some outreach possible.
No evening, weekend, or holiday call.

- Comprehensive, general adult PM&R practice including physiatric consultation and management for neurologic, limb loss and spine conditions.
- Majority outpatient practice with rotation on the inpatient rehab service. Approximately 1:10 call.
