  • Conducts designated interventions as defined in department Clinical Intervention activities (IV to PO, Renal Dosing, Pharmacokinetic dosing support, Anticoagulation)

Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery team in Texarkana, TX . This position is inpatient-focused and centers on hospital rounding and medical management of surgical patients. There are no procedural responsibilities , making this an excellent opportunity for an APP who enjoys inpatient care and continuity of patient management. The schedule is flexible and designed to support work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily inpatient rounding on general surgery patients

  • Manage post-operative care, monitor patient progress, and address medical issues

  • Coordinate care with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary services

  • Order, review, and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies

  • Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education

  • Document care accurately and timely in the EMR

Qualifications
  • Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

  • National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)

  • Acute care or inpatient experience preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a hospital-based setting
